Last week driving I was having issues and it wasn’t until editing the video I saw my mistake. I had the driving lines crossed! Email davidbradley@ymail.com #drafthorses #farm #percherons #hobbyfarm

Thanks for your honesty about the mistake. For those of us who love to learn about driving your explanation and what fix you came up to hopefully eliminate this from happening was great. 😊✅

Yep, nobody watching can say they haven't done something similar. As the video was running, I was wondering what might help like a permanent marker or colored tape, etc. The zip tie was a great idea!

Things can happen: Years ago I drove off with the cultivator and just a few steps away from the hitch rail I realized that in my rush to get out into the field I had forgotten to connect the stub lines(the inner lines) to the bits. The horses got excited, took off and I had a hard time to get them back to the rail to correct the mistake. By the way, I do not use snaps when driving a team and I have a ring through the split of the outside line with the stub line. This will prevent the line from slipping through the ring on the hame, which can make the team not maneuverable.

I think it happens to all of us lol ! I have the rings as well I just don't use them often. Where are you located Klaus?

@@bdradley1 About 15 miles north of Kansas City, MO. Yes, things happen, but mind you, the incident I described happened about ten years ago, that means after 51 years of working with horses. This year I start my 62nd year of having horses.
