Smitty, I scored a 98/100 grade on a Sleeper mock draft where I had the 1.01. I went CMC-Achane-Pachecho first 3 picks lol. Then got Mahomes 4th round and Mark Andrews. @kikko RB RB RB start is so so bad in 2024 don't do it. RBs have by far the highest injury risk and you can find WRS with the same upside at way less risk. Not to mention the depth at RB is far greater due to the almost certainty of RBs being hurt each week or for the year. There's always 2-3 backups starting at RB each week.. you won't find that at WR. Trust me I play high stakes high volume. Go hero or zero RB as much as you can.

I have 2nd pick in my half-ppr league, and I plan on going RB/RB/RB to start. I don’t like the receivers at the 2/3 turn, and don’t see any real difference between them and the receivers I can get at the 4/5 turn. Bijan or Breece Achane or Henry Pacheco That’s what I hope to come away with. If 1 passes on CMC, I won’t take him either. The consensus top pick never finishes 1, and I doubt CMC repeats. I think a lot of people will be losing their leagues because of CMC.

Smitty.. its 2024.. RB RB is probably the worst way you can start in any competitive league. RBs have the highest chance of injury, it's a passing league, and most backfields are split. Zero/Hero RB are MUCH better than RB RB. The amount of RB2/RB3 and handcuffs you can get after all the WRs are gone is immense, but not the other way around. I'm a high stakes high volume player and I would say after 150 drafts I might have gone RB RB like 10 times total.

I have to disagree with this, because if you hit on those backs and they do stay healthy, nobody will be able to beat you by going RB heavy earlier. WR is so much deeper and you can find better value at the position later on. WRs get hurt too, not at a higher rate, but if you drafted Jefferson last year, you probably didn’t do so hot. Tyreek gets banged up often Chase gets banged up often. Adams is declining and doesn’t have a quarterback. If Rodgers gets hurt again, Wilson becomes an automatic bust. Deebo is guaranteed to miss time every year. Are you really taking Olave, Waddle, or Aiyuk over someone like Derrick Henry, Etienne, or Kyren? Some of those round 2/3 receivers are forced. There isn’t a lot of difference in talent or even opportunity between those receivers and those you can get in rounds 4/5. However, there is a big difference in the backs from rounds 2/3 to 4/5. Yes, WR are just as productive, but that drop off in production by the tier isn’t near as extreme as RB. You hit on the running backs and you’re unstoppable. WR are much easier to build in the middle rounds. People are ignoring this because they want to listen to the “experts” and do what’s trendy. Elite tight ends are drafted higher because there aren’t many - why are so many people not looking at the running back position like this? When you hit on backs, you’re giving yourself an advantage when there is a plethora of receivers who can finish top 20 at their position.

If you’re in a full ppr league, WR early is probably the best strategy, but in leagues like mine, which is half ppr, you cannot dismiss RB early. Last season, more backs scored over 200 points than receivers in my league, whereas more WR/TE scored 150-200 points than running backs. Understanding the scoring system matters greatly. Top tier runnings backs are still king when it comes to touchdowns and yardage. Touchdowns are fluky with receivers, and much easier to project with backs.

Yea I’m not a robust rb truther every season. It changes season to season past couple of seasons hammering wrs early smashed but I feel like this is a robust rb year where there will be a handful of rbs like breece, Bijan, Barkley, jt a couple of those high end rbs winning leagues this year
