Thank you! Making a hood is not nearly so complicated and fearsome as I once thought it was (it used to look like a complicated enigma to me). I wish you luck on making your own hood! You can do it!!

At what point would a paste have been put on?

In my research, having the paste on a hood was optional. In the earlier part of the 16th century, it appears that the billiament was attached to the hood. However, in the later part of the 16th century, It appears to have become a separate piece. For more information, please check out this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXawoap7qNd-hbs

You made oorijzer/ear irons a couple of years ago. Do you have a headdress where they are used? I would like to see how they are attached. Loved this series. Thanks!

At 9:47 in my oorijzer video is an example of how it could be attached. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJnVe2qGZbt3hck
