G'damn it. This was one of the purchases that were made mandatory for one of my classes years ago, but it was in a bundle of other Staedler drafting tools and never came with instructions. We did only a couple of month of actual manual drafting before moving on to AutoCAD and Revit and abandoning all these wonderful little tools. My hand was grateful to move to the electronic tools (lefty woes...cramping and graphite smudging ugh) but never having learned how to use this little thing properly bugged me till just now. Thanks for the simple explanation. - Though I am curious...do clients request manual drawings any more? Or do you do it more for your own "fun" ?

Hi Julian, we have heard from many architects/designers that sometimes clients still prefer to see hand drawn plans or designs as opposed to renderings.

@1:51 he says "the other is used for spacing of lines in 30 seconds of an inch..." Can anyone explain this?
@PlateOfSpaghettiVevo7 жыл бұрын
It's "32nds of an inch," like the fraction. So moving to the "8" means "8/32" or "1/4" of an inch.
