Damage is the #1 scoring criteria. Everything else is tiebreakers which are only considered if damage is 'even.' There is no formula of 'grappling + control > damage.' If someone does more damage, they should win the round, period. (that's not my opinion, it's literally the rules) It's Ultimate FIGHTING, not Ultimate hugging. Erceg got screwed. Can't let it go to the judges, they're going to F it up.

I think kenny is being ahort sighted with the pantoja score card, (grappling bias) he didnt do anything with the take down the damage was by far the biggest thing in the round. Erceg in a close one.

I’m so sick of hearing that damage is what wins fights. If that were true, Erceg would be a world champion right now. So many people saying Erceg would have won round 5 if he hadn’t gone for the takedown at the end. That one scramble lost him the round even though he took no damage in that position. If that fight was anywhere besides Brazil, Erceg leaves with the belt.

This broadcast was kind of a mess between the screw ups that NEVER happen with Buffer messing up the fight winner announcement, and Megan Olivi doing the pre fight for the main event I think where she read everything while the camera was on Pantoja but was supposed to maybe wait for Erceg to be on camera to say his part, so she started to repeat what she just said but tried to wing it and just bailed on it 😂, then we had the normal dumbass Michel bullshit when he does a front flip on a grounded opponent and shins him across his neck and jaw right in front of the ref, but he’s Brazilian so it’s cool 🤣 what the hell was going on?
