Yes, definitely cut tubes open to get the rest of the product. Cut it straight across and afterward you can slide the top over the base to preserve it a little longer, too.

I absolutely cut packaging open to get the last of the product out - I just got an extra week and a half of use out of a primer by doing that. I usually just cut the end open and then I'll kinda seal it up with a barrette or something til I need to use it again, I've never had problems with it drying out. But you could also get cheap containers on temu etc and depot stuff in there. But yeah I'll always cut open my makeup tubes, I'm not throwing product away!!
