Also sorry hate to say this Tracy Mattel, she was lucky she didn't win any lip syncs and send anyone home so the girls were cool with her when the jury picked the two final queens. She was lucky they didn't chose sahangela and also lucky that Bendela sent herself home. IMHO 😅

What you said about Amanda is true bc of Plane she wouldn’t have been as loved before she was clowned on very heavily until plane came in the picture for the fans to have someone root for. I love plane so this drama was entertaining and it’s not like plane came for Amanda as a person just commenting on how Amanda isn’t polished just in the manner she said it could’ve been better lol but it’s television with Amanda only being on 3 episodes she was never gonna go far compared to other queens who had more to give.

this is tea. ep 1 i wasn't a fan of ATM and couldn't even ironically enjoy the crunchiness. but when plane started going for her and i saw how ATM defended herself i began to stan.

I one thousand percent agree with the Amanda one, especially with this season having three design challenges, if she wasn't going home on Girl Groups she's going home the very next episode. Oh and I love that Kennedy one too because I firmly believe Trixie was originally intended to place as the runner up from the get go; she gets the same rough placement as Katya and they go on UNHhhh talking about how they've never won anything, losers forever, blah blah blah quirky and relatable with the winner being someone Drag Race is more heavily invested in like Dela or Shangela. But instead the jury twist goes tits up and they *literally* can only crown Trixie despite her Lip Sync performance due to Kennedy's track record being worse than several eliminated girls. It was literally amazing how things managed to fall in just the right places so that she could get her crown...but that's just me.

I fear for my life by typing these words... but the luckiest queen imo is Jaida. It is undeniable that production wanted to crown Sh*rry and have the whole Gigi vs. Pie storyline to push that scenerio. With her disqualification, production was left with Crystal (sorry babs, no chance), Gigi (who was originally the villian) and Jaida, who they never wanted to crown (she was the Akeria/Kameron,Naomi,Courtney etc. of S12). She had no storyline, no focus, nothing, she was just there and doing a good job. Also, Gigi was allegedly almost disqualified during the finale for filming in a studio instead of her living room, and the most important point is, that this was a very political season. With a red,white,blue Promo, presidential debate and BLM and Gigi had the nerve to say she's not a political person and thus she can't speak on it, which got everyone mad at her right before the finale. So it's fair to say she got extremely lucky, being at the right place at the right time.

Or even in tournament style finales they just do whatever they feel like doing. Jinkx beating Monét, Aquaria slipping and falling vs. Eureka but still moving on to the 3-way LS etc.

Agree! calling Camden "Lucky" because Kornbread was Dq'd is dumb. Camden has one of the best track records of all of drag race - only placing low/bottom in the snatch game with 6 other queens. TBH, Camden should have won S14, but Production wanted to support Willow's genetic disorder storyline.

I honestly don’t think Camden should be considered “lucky”. I think she would’ve done incredibly well no matter if kornbread was there or not. She might’ve got a few less wins than she did originally but saying that she’s lucky just because she made top 2 over a queen with an injury? That’s insane to me

I disagree with Camden as well. I will also go so far to say that Kornbread would not have got to final 4. She was in the bottom the episode she got injured and seeing her work outside of drag race I genuinely don’t think she would have gone all the way. Especially with the challenges. Camden demolished the season. I think Kornbread would have been a shock mid season elimination.

Camden did well because of how she performed on the show. It is insulting to suggest her success is due to Kornbread leaving, she proved herself as a great designer/(garment construction), dancer and having a likeable character. You can tell she's worked hard at her craft to become a top notch, polished performer. Regardless of whoever else was in the cast Camden would have made the final.

Willow is also talented but I do think her health issues got her a lot of sympathy which played a part in her winning.

Tbh I disagree with most of these; sure, luck may have slightly benefited some of these queens, but I feel like labelling them as "drag race's luckiest queens" takes away a lot of their merit and how well they did in their seasons. Furthermore, while I don't disagree that Kennedy got lucky on AS3 (as everyone post-bendelachrist did), I'd say Trixie was definitely the luckiest one of the bunch, as she had the benefit of not sending anyone home and being paired with the one person who had a weaker track record than her in the finale.

kitty was NOT lucky at all, she was underappreciated the whole season & never had a bottom 3 worthy performance & was constantly put down in order to bring ella & krystal up i don’t think camden was lucky at all, most of camden’s wins/high placements were in challenges that kornbread would not have excelled in. silky was not lucky, she showed pure talent, and was underappreciated in her 3 competitive episodes before the smackdown too. she was definitely unlucky to be robbed on canada vs the world just to make the fans happy idk if amanda was lucky perse, because her talent show was underappreciated & she was eliminated in an episode where she did not do badly

Kitty would’ve been more underappreciated, Camden would’ve gotten the Rosé edit, Silky was lucky the redemption challenge involved lip syncing multiple times, and Amanda was lucky that Plane zeroed in on her and she got an insanely good edit
