Charity is correct. The alt queens are told to 'show versatility' but non alt queens are barely EVER asked to switch it up to the same extent. its ridiculous double standards.

Going off of what charity said with bringing two traditional “pretty looks” she also gave a pretty look in the draglexa challenge and then switched it up for the runway. The criticism doesn’t seem fair compared to the other girls. Sad to see you go but so glad we got to see you

Giving a pretty look on the runway is a different ask though. I get it we don't wanna see our favorites in a negative light, but it's a valid criticism. They want drag race girls to be versatile and they do ask the other stereotypical pretty queens to give alternative drag as well.

There’s some tea online that she was actually casted on Dragula S3 and she ended up not going because of the health insurance she would have to get for coming to the US and filming the show. I definitely think she would’ve been much more appreciated on Dragula, but it seems like it wasn’t in the cards for her, but Drag Race UK totally was.

And at the same time for me is questionable that they do that with Charity and not with, for example, Krystal. Is the third time they say to her she's one note yet she hasn't being near the bottom.

Will miss charity’s runways. Was always really excited to see their concept of each runway theme. It all gets a bit same same sometimes, at least they pushed their ideas out. Do I personally love the clown horror drag aesthetic? No. Not a fan of clowns. But did Charity show more talent, charisma and generosity of spirit than the vast, vast majority of the other contestants? 100%. I love them as a person and I love their dedication to the craft. Charity was 100% Charity, ever step of the way and I hope they’re proud.

Charity case was my fiancé’s favourite queen this season and was furious she voted off on the last episode. I agree ru didn’t appreciate charity’s outfits. She is truly unique and we’re proud of her. It’s so true what they said about how alt queens are always asked to have more versatility (aka be more glam and pageant queen) but never the other way around. For example, they had the camp runway, and only TWO gave a camp look, the rest of them were more focused on been glam, and no one contradicted them.

i think the judges were really unfair with Charity Kase and put higher standard on her then the others.. i mean her pink camp look was so cute.. here 1920 look was iconic and omg that spice girls inspired look was so cool.. and telling here shes same note hello she had lot of versatile and gave clamour and beauty also.. im not into horror drag but i loved her and i think also she was cool in the pop challange and had better lyrics then many others.. shes totally iconic and special and i hope she knows this with all here heart.. it just feels sometimes like its rigged and set up narrative..

I don't know how much is a production thing and specific producers and how much is Rupaul herself, but I feel like the favoritism of certain queens and the ignoring of other queens has just gotten more and more obvious with each new season/iteration of drag race. I guess there's a chance I'm just noticing it more, but it just seems SO blatant. Yes there's been questionable decisions in all of drag race, but it always felt more specific and isolated to me. Whereas lately, it just feels like opinions are formed before production begins or in the first episode, and after that queens are stuck in a lane and won't get bumped up or bumped out.

I don't think Scarlett was primarily upset because the girls named her, but because of the reasons they gave. They were all the way wrong. They accused her of giving up, not trying, being a mess etc. Imagine your peers say that about you WITH YOU THERE AND IN FRONT OF RUPAUL!!! I'm not sure her head is in the game - not that she is giving up, or doesn't want to be there, but because of her mum, there may be some guilt playing into her psyche. Guilt at leaving her mum even for the apparently relatively short time it took to shoot S3. I mean, during the werkroom discussions, we found out that her mum was in the latter stages of COPD. She must be having a tough time dealing with the imminent demise of her mum. I know I would be in a mess. And DR is such a pressure cooker, amplifying emotions that are already bubbling under the surface. I feel for her. I just wish she could be easier on herself, which would translate into being easier on those around her.

Thank you for bringing that up. I'm tired of all drag-art shows asking alternative queens to demonstrate that they can do the stereotipical drag beauty queen aesthetic, and saying that, if they can't, they are "one trick ponies" or all that BS, while non-alternative queens are not asked to do viceversa. Of course it's not fair, but most of all demonstrates that the judges do not understand their type of drag and want to ultimatelly adapt it to the aesthetic that they have already seen everywhere. And that to me is exactly the opposite of what drag is supossed to represent. We, drag artists, are here to push boundaries and criticized the stablished.

DRUK is a drag competition judged through the lens of American drag, let's face it. Each country (heck, each city) has a different way of showcasing drag. Ru just doesn't understand this. I feel the show has pigeonholed Charity's looks into just one "horror" box. The prosthetics and make-up artistry Charity showed was VERY versatile. Some fans also fail to see this. People just see something different and don't dig through the details. Charity deserved to stay longer.
