A lot of people don't know that actor Jack Sheldon was the voice behind "Schoolhouse Rock" on saturday morning TV in the 70's. He sang "Conjunction Junction" and “I’m Just a Bill”. That's the part that hurt the worst...That poor girl who loved him... He (Tyson) cared enough for her to make sure she did not get caught-up in his messed-up life... Gosh, I guess he figured that he really could not make it on the outside , if that is what actually happened... Prison, that has to have a huge negative impact on anybodie's life... $1,900 back then is like $25k now... A lot of $... One would think that with that much $ , he would want to start over someplace... He (G.D. Spradlin) definitely did an excellent job of portraying the perp... It would be interesting to see how various people who get out of places like prison, are able to start functioning again in normal legitimate lives, and how others end-up going right back in...What causes some people to actually want to go back into prison... Damn, 😢...Today is: 10/14/24

@@heyoldman2003 It just blows my mind that anybody would want to choose prison over freedom... Especially when they legally get out, after a non violent offense, tike that guy (whoever that is) did, and have to purposely put themselves in a position to go straight back in...Even after meeting a nice woman 👠 and still want to go back... There had to have been something that happened early in their lives that consistently convinced them that they needed to continue paying a debt to society.... IDK...Something more than ' Get used to it '... I'm Guessing at this now... WTF makes some people want to do things like this? Today iis: 10/15/24

11:35 I knew a self-assured stubborn secretary like that. I was sharing space at a law firm and then moved to a new location. I was looking everywhere for a particular file, but I could not find it. Then I thought, maybe it is still in the filing cabinet at the old office. I called up the legal secretary there. No, it is not in that filing cabinet. Have you looked? No, I do not need to. I know what is in that filing cabinet, and that file is not in it. I went over there during the lunch hour, when I knew she would be gone. I told the receptionist what I there for. We looked in the filing cabinet. There was my file. I took it and left.

I wonder what Bill's wife had cooked for the dinner he missed because he had to work late? My guess would be pot roast with hash browns and string beans. If I had a nickle for every time Gannon had to work overtime and miss dinner, I'd be a very rich man.

There were several people on Dragnet who were given great opportunities to become actors for larger Productions... Martin Milner and Kent McCord Were in Numerous Episodes Later appearing in Adam 12... William Boyett was another on Dragnet ,Adam 12, and Highway Patrol numerous Times... Another outstanding Actor. One of my favorites on several episodes on Dragnet is A Fella named Don Dubbins who played numrrous roles of suspects and other civilians who Helped the LAPD do their work.. Perhaps one of the best Roles of Don Dubbins, is of Private Owens in a GREAT movie of Marine Corps Boot Camp in Paris Island S. Carolina... Although he just couldn't figure out why he couldn't remember what he had done. Still, he got some help from a wealthy family in the Lake Tahoe area.

I remember G.D. Spradln (Arthur Leo Tyson in this episode) from various movies and shows... One of his most convincing parts was in the Movie 'MacArthur' as he played the part of Major General Eichelberger, in the WW2 campaign in New Guinea over defeating the imperial Japanese Army there. What is so sad about this episode, and several other Dragnet episodes is ; even though the names were changed of the actual people invloved, the stories were true and actually took place.... In this case, Someone who finally got out of prison, only to find that they wanted to go right back in, to play baseball in there with his 'buddies'.... That has to be a mental condition, of some type... 😢
