Not objects or absences of life, but real living beings. Besides, if he wants to be called her we should respect his wishes and use his preferred pronouns.

Nearly all the companions are wary/scared of Cole at first, which given what they're taught about spirits/demons it makes sense. Thankfully they all warm up to him in their own ways. (Also I honestly wonder if all the fans who make Cole out to be totally innocent and harmless have read the book because ho boy does he do some creepy shit in it lol)

If you want a character she actually does treat like shit look at Vivienne, Sera goes out of her way to be mean and cruel toward her, saying she may or may not be spitting in her food, threatening to have ppl dredge of Viv's bad past, etc. THAT is cruel.

I once ran an all rogue party the entire game post Skyhold. It's doable, and awesome, but a totally glass cannon setup thanks to no barrier or guard, at least until late game when you get guard on hit masterworks. But on the flipside, dps is so so high that most encounters, when done right, are over in seconds. However it is also easy to get completely trashed when things go wrong. So ultimately, a very high risk high reward type play. Pretty fun and definitely worth a try.

This, and Solas's remark about her name, and Sera's comment at one point 'you get alienage or worse for that!' (even though she would have grown up in an alienage before Lady Whatsherface takes her in) makes me think 1) Sera was born in Tevinter as an elven slave and somehow her parents smuggled her out 2) she was Dalish and somehow got separated from her clan

Cole has cute dialogue in which he reveals that sometimes Viv forgets that he's not 100% human and she worries for him. That its fear that has her lash out again. Fear of what he is and fear she will falter and end up possessed. So she isn't all bad.

@A Follower of Muscular Bara Hentai Doujin Religion thinking about it, our characters have only been faced with Ferelden and Marcher culture fully while having glimpses into the Orleasian side of things. But Vivienne is a part of that culture. She had to develop a thick skin to survive as a duke's mistress and a haughty air about her to match the rank she held. Idk, I think had Vivienne been anti circle, even with her "bitchiness," she would have been a fan favorite

I never recruit Viv, at first I only recruited her because I thought it would mess up recruiting Cole if you went with the mages where she says he must die, but when I learned she is replaced by Cassandra if she isn't recruited...yeah screw you Vivienne, you're nothing but a bitch with no character, Morrigan's character revolved around being a birch as well, but she at least had development, the game even encourages us to betray you, that's how bad of a character you are.

My Inquisitor and Sera were in a very happy relationship, and I had finally gotten the nickname I wanted from her. One time, I'm going to the Hissing Wastes to farm tier 3 loot, and I get a random banter trigger where Cole comments on Sera's nickname for my Inquisitor. Sera gets freaked out and changes it to fugging Tadwinks, and it's RIGHT AFTER I've beaten Corypheus, so I can't change it back. Worst part? I didn't want to waste all the progress I'd made by loading an autosave. Sarianna "Tadwinks" Lavellan. I actually screamed during Trespasser.

@@Pandastuck . Overall, I didn't like the cast of Inquisition much. It totally pales in comparison to Origins and DA2 cast imo. My favorite companion is Vivianne, followed by Cassandra and Varric (tho he is not as interesting and charming as he was in DA2). The rest were very disappointing, boring or just annoying for me. Dorian disappointed me, he is just a walking checklist, I expected more of him, Iron bull and Blackwall just bored me, and I couldn't stand Solas, Cole and Sera. My last playthroughs ended only with Viv, Cass, and Varric by the time Trespasser happens. (And also Bull and Dorian, but Bull dies and Dorian is just there because the game forces him in the party even if you didn't recruit him in the main game 🙄 but at that point I just ignore him).

@@thenablade858 Not necessarily, I can understand being exasperated at him for airing your dirty laundry, but given his genuine cluelessness about anything beyond his need to help people it's hard to hate him for it. He is a spirit of compassion and thus seeks out pain in order to heal it, if he thought he was causing people any sort of pain he would know and switch tactics right away. Because that's his whole purpose; to take the pain away. They don't neccesarilly feel hurt by what he says to them. They may feel confusion, anxiety, shame, and sadness. But that's with the express intention (and more importantly, following through) with easing their pain. Sera, on the other hand, steals underwear.

He also doesn’t stop sometimes, he continues to expose Vivienne and Blackwall’s past which does cause them pain (specifically Blackwall). Maybe they deserve it because Blackwall is a child murderer and Vivienne’s a hypocrite, but it’s still an invasion of privacy.
