Hi. An FYI for anyone who has the game on PlayStation and doesn't know yet. It's possible to (near) instantly finish War Table Operations by changing the time and date in the console's settings; it might also work on Xbox, but I haven't tried it.

I am a witness to the Playstation in this sense. This can greatly speed up the flow of operations at War Table that require a longer wait. It is worth remembering that it is possible to use this trick of manipulating the console clock to gain an advantage. For example, there is an operation that grants money - and eternally available - with the three advisors. If you have the patience and time to ahem... get past the waiting barrier in an artificial way, you can get some extra money of supernatural origin that can come in handy. Okay, it could be cheating, but it remains an option before reaching Skyhold (which has a much more agile "proposal" for this). The final choice is up to the player.

I somehow just got so lost. I spent wayyy to long in the hinterlands then realized you have to activate the next story quest on the table, now I have like 6 maps that I have no clue what order to play in

It happens to the best of us! I recommend going to Val Royeaux, the Storm Coast, back to the Hinterlands (to get Blackwall and speak with Fiona in Redcliff), and then the Fallow Mire before making a decision about if you want to ally with the Rebel Mages or the Templars (you could also save the Mire for after). And you can start heading to the Oasis at any time. There's also a link to a quest (and location) order recommendation list in the description of this video if you want a general guide for where to go from here. And you could follow along with one of my playthroughs linked there as well if you want to see what order I go in. (I'm just a few episodes away from the end of Aislin's run! 🥲)

I also started with Inquisition and picked up the lore through the game. I played a rouge my first playthrough but after that I played mages because of the connection to the story

Lore is great. It was only after I read books of fiction about DA that I realised Grand Enchanter Fiona is Alastair’s biological mother.

Same! Though she hints at it in dialogue if Alistair is your Warden contact and comes to visit Skyhold (also if he's left in the Fade).

When to go to the skyhold? Move forward as quickly as possible or try to postpone?

There are a handful of operations that you have to complete before relocating to Skyhold or else they will disappear, so I like to wait until I've cleared the War Table of operations before doing In Your Heart Shall Burn. That's just my preference though!

That war table operations doc is horrid. It doesn't take into account the operations that have to be completed a certain way in order to lead to the next in the chain/not end abruptly. Lost 3 chains before I realized it. Not a good reccommend.

That information is under "Details" (column J). If the operation has an impact on subsequent operations, it states exactly what advisor choice will end the operation chain there.

Played Origins so many times and DA2 several times. I quit this game when it came out right as I met Morrigan and just thought it was a crafting simulator and very lackluster in all things regarding DA. Veilguard is one sorryassshitshow.

Sorry you don't like the most recent games! Personally, I enjoyed crafting and thought Inquisition did an excellent job carrying on the immersive DA lore from previous games (especially with the returning characters), and I like Veilguard so far, but to each their own. At least you can replay the first two games! I don't have any tips for Origins or 2, but I do have modding guides for each if you don't already mod them and want a new challenge.

@@PosiCobra Thanks but I wrote many mods for DAO and have over 900 hrs in it. DA2, I didn't write any mods but have played it prb 6 times. I am trying to finish Inquis as it just didn't grab me. I've been gaming for a long time lol. 52 yrs old.
