Thank you, it works, I did the shortcut -enableconsole and the .xml consolecommand changes, mod works perfectly as well, can see what I'm typing. I decided to play the trilogy again (dreadwolf hype) but changing some of my choices, specifically Alistair 'hardened' but since I was playing on Xbox and the game decided to "forget I did his quest correctly" now I'm here trying to fix it with mods and cheats on pc to make sure it works, and yeah, it works, thanks!

Can someone help me? I'm trying to add items that glitched after the silverite mine bug... but I can't add anything... literally none of the codes are working for me. I had this working on my old computer. But now, on my new computer. I have the game it under electronic arts instead of Bioware. I'm not sure if that makes a difference. But it's not working for me. I don't see the ini file under there. :(

Windows 10 wont give the option to "open with" to bring it up in notepad, so I went to a new window in the notepad program and opened the launcher xml manually, and it came up as gibberish, none of the required lines being in english i couldn't edit them. Anybody else get anything like that?

What about GOG? I use that. So far, I have only just enabled the console command. Do I need to do the Properties Target line thing too? All I see is a Comment section where I can type something. The Target section has the command line to run the game,

No they do not, you have to use cheat engine for inquisition, and ensure that you DO NOT use ANY cheats on multiplayer

Don't listen to anything EA says. You can do whatever you want with a game you've purchased lol.

Wes EA is a corporation full of Greedy speculators and as*holes never ask them for anything except your money back. EA says don't mod the game instead buy the next game and the next your time to EA is best spent purchasing new games and giving EA your money. BIOWARE built the game. If they didn't want yo too mod it after you played it for a while they wouldn't have released the tool kit and the data base to build mods with. Thats not to say modding doesn't have an element of of risk. Some free mods aren't done so well but the same is true of the pro games they have beta and all that. its a small thing. A real risk is your brakes going out and your car and having a crash. Find some Beginners modding tutorials and study up on it. But not this Walk through. Remember its only a game and you already paid for it. When you do start moding always make a real save before you add a mod then if something goes wrong you can go back to where you added the mod and pull it out till you learn what happened. Also notice the most popular single player game in the world is Skyrim le and SSE that game has about 90,000 mods now and Nexus.com has downloaded around a billion mods thats a lot of people having fun on the same game for hundreds or even thousands of hours. Thats why EA tells you not to mod BTW . have fun and do what you like you paid for the game. The worst that can happen is you have to start over . Cheers
