Honestly, fuck the Grey Wardens. All I wanted was die a horrible death and/or being executed for a crime I didn't commit, but no, that dickhead has to come in and force me to join his military cult! Fuck those guys. [I'm sarcastic, but seriously, the writing for the recruitment was awful in every origin story, the only part of the game that I hate (the confrontation for who gets to rule is also pretty bad, but at least there are some resolution that are fine, unlike the joining the Wardens where they're all awful). I get it the story needs you to join the Grey Wardens, but did it have to be written so badly that makes you hate the fact there's no option to refuse? Oh, you can save me from certain death by forcing me to join? Thanks, but I still choose death.]

@@aaronjohnson4061 Don't know about the OP but player choice and the lack of voiced protagonist are what made me consider the first one to be the best. I like 2 and 3 but they stepped away from their RPG roots a bit too much for my taste.
