Cass Dz I know it! I was so pissed when they expected me to make that decision. I literally couldn't do it. In my DAO play through, I didn't force him to be king because he really didn't want it. Plus Anora had already been ruling for this long anyway. But after that bullshit in Inquisition I went back into the keep and became his Queen. I love all the Alistair cameos with him as a warden, but it's just not worth it in the end

Not me crying like a baby on a Saturday morning. This is so artfully done. I remember playing Origins and being completely taken away by Alistair. So funny, warm and sarcastic. The romance build up in each of these games is crazy. With Alistair and Cullen especially, I feel like there's this steady progression between complete strangers to falling in love while the world is falling apart around you.

Ugh this truly is a splendid video. I don't know how you did it, but you have me coming back to watch this once every week. The music you used is so inspirational, making their romances look greater than themselves. The dialogue you chose and scenes you put for each part is perfectly placed. I especially loved the lines you used for Alistair, ones that I didn't realize he had said at all ("You think I want you sacrificing yourself?") My only critique is Cullen's scene where he says he should be taking his.. enhancement. Your Inky says "You can" which makes it seem she's letting him continue it. Other than that, this is still the BEST video about DA romances

The tears.... I've never romanced Fenris, it just irritated me that he sleeps with Hawke then walks away for 3 yrs. Plus, regardless of what other folks say I have a thing for Anders. He's so tormented also I can't kill him. It's cowardly that Bioware has you stab him in the back when he's not looking. The least they could have done is turn it into a face to face if not an actual fight. Also, to be honest especially after reading Asunder I believe that change in Thedas did indeed need to be forced sadly Elthina pays the price for that. Anyway, the point was...I really need to Romance Fenris lol and this video made me boohoo like a little girl. I cannot believe I love these guys enough that I play these 3 games over and over just to run the romances lmao

My first DA2 playthrough (mage) I was surprised to see Bethany die; I brought Carver to Deep Roads because he wanted to come and he flipping died (I didn't know then that there are ways for your sibling to survive); then I was surprised because I wasn't able to save Leandra (wept like a baby). I ended up wanting to romance Fenris and I fucked up because my game decisions were not enough to trigger his Questioning Belief. I ended up googling and redoing the whole Act 2 just to romance him AND HE FUCKING WALKS OUT AFTER FIRST NIGHT. Thinking about it though, I think it was rather mature of Fenris not to pursue a relationship while he still had issues to deal with. Entering a relationship while you're a mess might just end up making things worse, because you'll have your problems and another person to worry about (especially considering he still had his ex master trying to retrieve him, his skin or alive). Plus the ending to his lovers route was delightful to me. He spent blood and sweat to be free of his chains, and the moment he does, he surrenders himself not because he was forced but because he wanted to, saying, "I am yours." Also in DAI if the Inquisitor asks why Hawke's alone, s/he says "Fenris would have died to protect me. I didn't want to give him the chance."

I always switch to romanticizing with Anders and Fenris. If I play my Jenny Hawke, I always date Anders. And if I play Marijan Hawke, then I always dates Fenris. Jenny is the Sarcastic one and Marijan is the Diplomatic one.

Sure, the gameplay is flawless, the characters are stunning but for me, it was the romance. It was building a relationship with the characters you were attracted to and watching as it grew into more.
