Not everything has to be open world. Well crafted mission might be much better than empty open world. As you said Mass Effect 2 wasn't open world and yet we all loved it. My biggest fear is that it will end up to be more like DA 2 than ME2.

Hate all you want, but this game is being talked about a lot from sooo many youtubers and online in general. Overall from all the people playing games in this day and age I am sure this will sell well and even people doubting will give it a try. Like people want the game to be something they want it to be, but accepting it the way it is might be the smarter approach. Also lets be honest, no one knows all the details yet. - How long is the campaign? How many skills would every character and specialization have? How will the talent system impact the combat with what effects and visuals also? As a gamer of 20 years and over 150 single player games finished, I am pretty well experienced to tell you folks this game might not be a masterpiece , but for sure as hell will not be labeled as bad. Peace.

I think people just don't like it, because it's not like Origins, they saw how well loved BG3 was and thought Bioware will do the same mechanics. I love DAO but I'm fine the majority of the changes, I can adapt. I just wished they have shown more gameplay mechanic on the literal "Gameplay Reveal" lol.

Agreed. I get that people are skeptical because of Andromeda, but this is years later with a different team. Andromeda was treated badly by EA, Dragon Age is a different monster entirely. It MIGHT become not what I want it to be , but at this point nobody can say and I think people are exaggerating in their premature criticism.
@andreasmartin79423 ай бұрын
'Hate'.. if it were that easy. Bioware has changed a lot over the years. We old fans just have learned what to expect from 'New Bioware'. First a rushed Dragon Age 2, then a mmorpg-like Inquisition, then this accident of a game called Anthem. All in all more than enough to be sceptical.

1.If veilguards play is closer to Dao than I don't care about the lack of open world 2. Don't care what anyone says dragon age dreadwolf was a way cooler name and to me sounds like they're going to reshuffle Solas into an anti hero instead of the sympathetic villain he should be. 3. They better not use the lack of open world to make the game shorter 4. Hopefully they'll bring back some more fan favourites as companions and they just don't feel the need to introduce them
@xerisangels2293 ай бұрын
The main draw, at least for me, was the open world. Sure the sheer size was intimidating and sometimes tiresome but then the solution would be reducing the size and not making it only mission based. I am overly critical about it because they've made it more Mass Effect than Dragon Age, and we all remember how Andromeda was😬. There's still hope in my eyes but I'm overly skeptical.

I remember th ecsene someone attempts to rob Hawke and Varric reacts quickl yby shootin ghim with Bianca befoer he can escape to take back Hawke's money. That's how he meets Hawke. The character in Origins I thin kyou rreferrin gto is a mining dwarf from Orzammar that just happen to have the same VA as Varric but it's not Varric as Varric is a surface dwarf wh ohas spent all his life prior to meeting Hawke living in Kirkwall mostly. I should know as Varric is one of my favourite characters in the series not to mentoin a great companion in both DA2 and Inquisition.

So far, im not excited about the party size change,unability to control other team members, and strange ability wheel that covers most of the screen with colors , and it looks like circus. Enemies too cartoonish for my taste . It's like fighting with a tasmanian devil 😂 But anyway, it's DA, so the story should be great, and I hope I will like this one 2.
