Still far, far too plastic looking for me. I prefer his old character sheets from Z. I respect that we are getting a Modern Toriyama art style, but with the way modern animation is too clean, makes it look like plastic Lego. Slap some film grain on their and maybe it would work. But as a tribute, it would be better, even though they worked on this long before his sad death.

_DAIMA_ wasn't Toriyama's original idea, though. Some assholes at Toei had already been developing it, then Toriyama decided to hijack the project, not unlike what happened with _Super._ If it were not for those Toei assholes putting the idea of _DAIMA_ in Toriyama's head, we might instead have gotten Season 2 of _Super,_ which is what everyone actually wanted.

This could also fully canonized everyone from that list except Dabura, who was already fully canon.

Akira Toriyama is gone... but not forgotten. DB isn't going anywhere just yet, we got Daima, maaaaybe future Super anime series or movies, manga still going. I do hope they end at some point and don't milk the franchise, do it dirty, even if Toyotara is good as a substitute, and really good not to shun or hate on him, he does a super solid job... it's just you shouldn't beat a dead horse, it should rest in peace at some point too. Even then though, when it is gone just like him... the memories, the journey we made along the way, the people it did inspire like Oda the creator of One Piece, the creators of Naruto, Bleach, so many other anime, that without Sailor Moon and DBZ anime would've never journeyed to the West. Inspiring so many other people, inspiring American cartoons like Avatar the Last Airbender or Teen Titans, so many other franchises making nods and easter eggs to honor this behemoth. Gone but never forgotten, it did inspire, and will still inspire many in the future. Myself included, I've made my own franchises, stories, even if I haven't written them, being stuck in my head, over 50+ stories. 2 especially I remember fondly, and won't give up on, inspired by the likes of Dragon Ball, Bleach, and Naruto. Toriyama inspired Kishimoto, then that helped me through my own pain, and inspired me. Heck I can only hope to even get a 1% not even a fraction of an impact Toriyama left. As long as it helps someone out there like these franchises did for me, as long as it motivates 1 person, that's all that matters, bringing a smile to 1 person, that's all that matters to a true artist. No matter how much hate something may get, that 1 person makes it all worth it. So I will never give up on my dreams, and keep hoping and attempting to make them a reality. To make the world smile and laugh, with at least 1 person, that is my dream and goal respectively. Toriyama will be there no matter what, because of the legacy he left behind, we will never forget him, nor let his messages and dreams die.
