With his wording, each time he is switched in you can only consume a max of 100% unique gauge One strike/blast each switch in One green card One time being hit One cover change One blue card That is also 50% HP based on the final part of his passive You will easily get 300% unique gauge in a fight. 70% starting off 100% on main 100% on comeback And if it is the same as hit, 100% every 38 counts Each 100% unique gauge consumption restores 50% HP So on average, just from his unique gauge; Turles can heat AT LEAST an extra 150-200% HP Not to mention 25% on main and 70% on comeback He can easily be a unit used to tank attacks on switch in, and he will be able to easily heal up In short; just based on that last part of his passive, this turles has potential to be Busted. Even just getting two of the unique gauge uses each time, on switch in and getting hit, that is 20% HP restored; plus 3% from normally getting hit. Not to mention on switch in; that can reduce enemy ki by 40 if you don't get the cover change, it can easily shut down combos on its own; and get 60 ki to start a counter attack

The wording is confusing but I think the way the consumption of unique gauge on strike or blast works is like this: No matter what every time you use a strike or blast you will get the 15% damage. Because it's on a separate line from the unique Guage consumption. But the first card you use after switching, you will have the opportunity to consume the gauge which will heal you, give cover null and give Ki. So you always get the +15% damage on every arts cost use. The unique consumption is bonus if you have it. Same thing with getting hit. You will always get 3% health back, but if you have the guage on the first hit you get another 10% and enemy ki gets reduce (+you get ki and cover null)

the thing with reduce 20% of gauge is only once (per switch) but the buffs are every time. If you have less than 20% you still get the buffs even if you didn't consume gauge. What the gauge consume is for is just triggering his 10% heal, cover null and stuff from the gauge itself

The reason they have everything consume unique gauge is so you constantly tap into all the benefits that come about from it being consumed listed under the unique gauge portion itself. Also, Turles being immune to card destruction and ki reduction for 20 seconds on comeback is going to make it so disrupts have no effect against him either. Well, the only type of disrupt that would work is card seals but that's a bit more rare. I think he looks absolutely insane.

38 counts for 100% of unique gauge. That's 7.6 counts for each 20% affect to activate outside of the 70% you get on entry, 100% when you activate the comeback mechanic and 50% charge rate when you have a dead ally. It's not consumed on every strike and blast so I'd say it's fine. Might feel it occasionally in a green here or there but you just have to pay attention to it.

A defense type unit that doesnt cancel buff effects nor debuffs ultimates, rush or blues and only reduces power 10% strike and blast arts only on cover change (he is basically getting 90% dmg reduction), also the unique gauge gets depleted instantly after you use 1 strike or blast and 2 greens or 1 green and 1 blue, needs a dead ally to charge faster so the only way this unique gauge can be saved is if you run some death buff character and sacrifice him at the start of the match

About his Gauge, a lot of his usage of the gauge is in portions, so Hits gauge is full after 38 seconds. Turles strike and blast costs 20% of his gauge, so its rounding 38 up and dividing by 5 (20 is a fifth of 100) so its more like every 8 seconds he can use his gauge... I think? I hope lol
