I used a similar set up, with Gohan on Leader Slot and Zenkai Blue Evo over LF Trunks for the Zenkai buff on Pan. You can also run Mai over Superhero Pan for a better HP bench.

He has one of the most broken mechanics which being able to snipe out someone and then with his guage being able to dodge strikes during a combo he is the most annoying in the game.
