Apart from maybe the EX (who _was_ still good back in the day. He just didn't have any teams that could properly maximize his damage until he became meta irrelevant), all Janemba units have been at least good on release. Purple Janemba was cracked on release. Red Janemba was amazing. Purple Janemba's Zenkai was good, but was the worst non-EX performer out of all Janembas. Ultra Janemba is... And now Red Janemba's Zenkai is stellar as well.

I went into pvp with 8 star goku frieza, 8 star ultra rose, and 8 star ultra VB And lost to a 14 times god rank player running Zenkai 7 Red Janemba, 14 star Blu Zamasu, and 14 star ftp Pur buu... And it wasn't even close, he had so many greens, he 1 shot goku/frieza with a blue, and before that he stunned VB twice in a row with it and then rushed him (cant swap to goku/frieza while stunned) and f2p pur buu is just under-rated because he ate my rosé alive...
