Dragon Ball Multiverse EXPLAINED! Like many other fictional works, Dragon Ball has a cosmology and hierarchy that has only gotten bigger and more complicated over the years. From the vast universe, the temporally different Afterlife, to the strange Kaioshin realm, there are several parts to Goku's universe 7 with more than meets the eye. So, how large is Universe 7 and its larger-scale timeline? Who safeguards and observes these realms? How do timelines work and how many are there? Most importantly, who is at the top of the cosmological food chain and is the true creator of the multiverse?
To answer these questions, I go over the manga, anime, video games, and guidebooks to explain the world of Dragon Ball to the best of my ability. So, I present to you, Dragon Ball's Guide To The Multiverse!

He really could stand to use a thesaurus, just in the name of keeping 'infinite' sounding like a word by the end of the video. "Arbitrary in size" or "endless" or "unbounded", maybe "without limits"... lots of ways you can say that something is irrationally vast. In fact, there's another one for ya. But in all seriousness, attempting to calculate the actual sizes of the dragonball universe is a lost cause. This video would've been a lot better if the author would've just focused on the *structure* of the universe, instead of its sizes, because almost all discussion of size winds up as 'it's infinite, but somehow more/less infinite than this other part".

But how much, is too much. If the Omni King is the one above all, then there is no going forward after that. I think Goku should end his journey to become the strongest after defeating the grand priest. Maybe taking up that role as a reward for winning the fight. Note that Omni king doesn’t fight. At least not in the capacity we see in every episode. More or less, after defeating gods gaurdian, you only have this child with a button that wipes away universes.

Dragon ball universe: An infinite macrocosm compose of several realms that are infinite. Goku vs Beerus: nearly destroy this infinite macrocosm from 3 punches. Majin Buu: Almost destroy the living universe which is infinite and the kaioshin realm which is 1/10 of the entire macrocosm so should be infinite or at least multi-galaxies in 2 separate occasions. Death battle: Goku is only planetary and the universe only have 4 galaxies Also death battle: Majin Buu is only planetary I don’t know why but I just got this feeling that Death Battle don’t know how to scale stuff accurately.

I always thought the different universe's were separated by distance as it's shown in the Champa arc that there is space and even planets in between them. So its most likely operating on the bubble multiverse model. A timeline and a multiverse is the same thing, time traveling results in entire new multiverse with all gods, kaioshin, and realms included. In the Super continuity the time rings connect these muiltverses and every time past or future is changed a new ring is created. In Heros there are infinted timelines and there are referred to as dimensions.

@@balazsdocs8897 Well we don't know how many dimensions are there in pokemon. And the problem in power scaling pokemon is sometimes DeX entry, anime, guides, manga, etc downplays their true power. Like Groudon created the land and is very small in games in anime he seems a big bit still I would expect something who created land to be bigger than the Himalayas and the same goes for kyogre and rayquaza. Creation trio is even more iffy, Dialga rules over time Palkia rules over space Giratina rules over antimatter and Arceus created them all. But the size seems very small for these godly pokemons according to DeX. And in the anime movie Arceus was badly wounded by the asteroid he was badly wounded again in an ambush by his creation and almost died even though his awakening caused rifts in time space and shook the realms of Dialga and Palkia and Giratina and in the manga he was tied to many ropes and was being dragged by team rocket grunts. And their are many other problems as well and other legendary pokemons face this problem.

The Omni King is the ruler of what you could call 'management' or our reality. There is a ruler or 'dismanagement' aka the other realities. This is the Kaitai King. The ruler of dismanagement is the one responsible for correcting timelines in which reality is disorganized. Aka any timelines in which universes have time machines that effect more than one universe, timelines that have a death of multiple supreme kaie and gods of destruction. So you need to realize this too when you talk about the multiverse. Everything is a yin/yang in dragon ball.

17:16 on a side note a lot of people like to say Goku nearly destroying the universe 7 macrocosm is an outlier feat but i actually don't think that's the case because most outlier feats in Dragon Ball have usually been the results of powering up or through special properties/ hax but Goku was doing it with his fists alone which means it scales to his physical strength and it's highly likely that still wasn't even his full power given he couldn't control his god ki at the time and so his power fluctuated out of his control. So while Goku in BOG scales to 3D you very well could make the argument that he's already 4D from the start of super and he upscales thousands to millions of times stronger than that feat alone as the series progresses which would easily land him into the realms of 5 to 6D.

My thoughts before watching the video : There is a guide that proves that the after life has higher dimensions . I can't find it but it's in my how strong is base vegeta video. The afterlife has heaven and hell. 2 higher dimensions. Along with the Mortal universe and the kaioshin realm which are 3D+.it makes one macrocosm a 5D structure. There are 12 of these macrocosms. And the zeno realm which is infinitely above the 12 macrocosms. Making it 6D. Contained in a timeline. One timeline is 6D. The room that holds the time rings appears to be endless (infinite timelines) trunks in the Manga says there are infinit timelines. So the dbs verse is a 7D+ structure. Don't forget that there is a large space between timelines. Making 8D+ structure. Please pin my comment 😇

People forget or don't realize that Zeno didn't just wipe out the timeline (stated in manga), but he also wiped out a being (Zamasu) who was going to take over multiple, possibly infinite (wank) timelines. We see this feat in Super when Zamasu begins to appear into different timelines simutaneously as Goku and co. are still in Future Trunks' timeline. A timeline alone can contain anywhere between a finite or infinite amount of macrocosms. In Super's case it's 12-18, but it could have easily been infinite and Zeno would have still wiped it out since he is skipping that step and simply deleting the entire timeline. Zeno's feat at the very least is multiversal if you want to lowball. He destroys a being that would have taken over at the very least multiple timelines which inhabit multiple macrocosms.

There's nothing suggesting that SSJ4 makes him infinitely superior to his base form, and neither is there any for God ki. He's 6D at best, and to go even further beyond, no one in DB history is even 7D. The only DB character that I can see being 7D is Tori-Bot.

He's pretty damn powerful, but he's far from being the strongest Heroes character because the writers said that Beerus could kill Mechikabura if he wanted to (Of course I'm referring to the Beerus from the DB Heroes continuity). On top of that, there are implications of Hearts being more powerful than him, and Beerus didn't really see him as a threat. That being said, he is 6D like everyone else, because even his old state is far above Demigra, who was threatening to destroy not just the entire DBH Multiverse (Which includes the 5D Crack of Time), but also Beat's World (Which treats the multiverse + the Crack of Time as completely fictional) *I N B A S E .* I've also heard he has a lot of cool hax abilities as well.

What makes you say the time nest is in U7 exclusively? I don’t recall ever seeing that. I always thought it was a place between timelines and universes, hence the infinite amount of characters possible. Trunks was just summoned first because he messed with time. Or my theory that it’s the super trunks who’s time displaced... but he’s too old...but maybe snagged up younger before he’s time displaced. Idk still working on that lol

Arguing that it’s a separate time/space is shaky because other than the fact that it's a separate space that exists outside of not only the living universe, but the macrocosm as a whole is the only argument(I know of) that can be made regarding this.

King Zee For one, within universe 7, the afterlife as a whole is a realm separate from the living universe and was stated by Goku to have time that flowed differently than earth’s. The fact that it’s a separate space from the living universe that is at least universal in size already shows that it’s a different time/space. But now there’s the fact that time there actually flows differently than that of the living universe. The present wasn’t affected by Zeno erasing Infinite Zamasu probably because it look place within a separate timeline from the present. See, time travel works weirdly in DB; in the case of Trunks’ timeline we’re not exactly traveling to the future of the timeline we’re familiar with, but rather the future of an alternate DB timeline. That’s why the changes made to the ‘past’ in the Android arc didn’t change Trunks’ future. And that’s also why Zeno erasing Infinite Zamasu and Trunks’ timeline didn’t erase our ‘present’. Therefore, it’s not all ‘1 timeline’.

I always felt any universe could have more than one supreme Kai but the Kaio shin that are at that level are born at very low levels. In addition kai live very long life spans. So I felt the grand supreme kai was renown amongst the gods and so was given many students. I mean poor gowasu couldn’t even handle one student. The apprentices graduated but weren’t needed so they stayed alongside the grand supreme Kai until another supreme Kai retired or died. Or perhaps the extra kais from the erased universes got to live with grand supreme Kai and help him.
