For people who don't know in the old school DBZBT games the transformations count as separate characters because they have their own moves/skills, Dialog, etc... however you can transform into them during gameplay at will if you meet the requirements to do so. This might seem like its gonna eat up a lot of space but if you played BT3 you'll know it won't as BT3 had 161 charaters and also counted transformations.

@@drcjtonkin Its like BT3. You have the option of choosing either Base Goku and transform mid game, or choose SSJ Goku from the start. You can transform by using the d pad. Also unlike BT3 where you need SSJ2 to transform to SSJ3, here you can directly skip to SSJ3.

Looks great but one thing i really love to do in a dragonball game is transform in battle so i really hope they have that but not like kakarot is with putting a transformation in a skill slot i hope its a transformation slot. Again transforming during a battle is one of my favorite things to do.

I think it was only because of the demo, but they got Trunks’s hair wrong, IF that is SSJ Rage. It’s on the box art…but if that is changed to be regular SSJ, the hair would match, they would probably just change the skill, and if that’s the case, Rage would be his final transformation…

It makes no sense for DB Super Goku to have only SSJ God and Blue transformations and Z Goku to have SSJ1 - 3. DB Super Goku is more stronger and has access to all transformations. I guess it's a game limiting mechanic but still I wish the devs had made it more lore accurate.

If you look to the right on the character select screen, you can see which forms that character has access to i.e goku (end) having access to ssj 1,2 and 3, and ssj 1 goku (end) having access to base, ssj2 and ssj 3 etc...
