It was the same for me, you need to deflect his crusher bomb, if you want to know what to do to proceed into the stories you need to go in that story line then once you are into a fight in that storyline you want to proceed you jast need to press start button on the xbox controller or esc on keyboard, then it should appear a pause menu with all you need to do for the main storyline and the secondary storyline

You have to let all the background dialog play through. I think the cut-off is when Vegeta says to finish Jiren.

i figured it out , when fighting Raditz take out at least 3 bars of his life and Goku steps in and finishes it off play the matches again even if you did play it. Go to vegeta ape scene beat him and the new island unlocks

Once Jiren mentions 'this is everything' and transforms, let Jiren attack you until you have 2 bars health left. After which, defeat Jiren. You should get the canon ending.
