Making another mode with only 10 DP available would allow for the mid tier characters to be played. Which is what I think most people are pissy about, but don’t realize it. Singles is for high tier characters, Team is for low tier, but most people are just wanting to play like Trunks, Kakunsa, Krillin, etc etc. So a 10 DP mode would give you like two 5DP characters, or a 7+3, or a straight 10 if you think you’re cold like that. Meaning people would only be playing 1-3 characters max.

I couldn't get into matches on ps5 but then I read that I actually can if I create rooms myself. So I went online 1 time so far and to make things fun I hosted a Yamcha tournament, all ranks allowed. I don't care about winning or losing, I'm happy if I can learn something from the match. This is Dragon Ball, baby!! Now give me playable Kaioshin :)

Ki blasts spam isn’t spam. It’s how you play neutral in this game. There’s an associated cost and it prevents your opponent from just charging on the other side of the map. As it is now, a lot of games are decided by who better manages their ki. It’s how you win vanish wars. It’s how you prevent perception. (Which also costs ki) This game revolves around resource management

My thing is that they don’t have anything for customizations make sure they have the main Z fighters, but what made the old game feel special as how big the roster was and yeah, I know the roster is technically big but they could’ve made a lot more cool clone characters like togoma. I really enjoy the game too. Like you said it just feels right. As an old tenkaichi player I just miss a few more modes. I kinda wished for new things like you mentioned 2v2, 5v5 online. Some sort of Mission 100 or survival mode or anything new. Custom battles are cool but you can rarely ever pick the character you want. For instance I really want to play characters like Kid Boo or Hit but they are too expensive for me in DP battle. There is only 1v1 online and offline battles where I can use these characters. I need some more fun challenges where I can put these characters to use

This game has been so fun. I've almost perfected high speed evasion against MUI Goku's super rush attack spammers and it's the most fun I have. They are so predictable and don't know what else to do.

I think personally for me custom battles is where it is at. I love online and the feel. but having settings to where I can drag a fight out for 40 minutes with all the effects and scenes you can use. using 5 characters against 2 then make them fuse at some point and it feels like an actual dragonball battle to me if they didn't have animation budgets and could go allo out like the Broly movie lol

Yeah its been very odd to see the shift. I think the current online video game landscape really changed things. The original Tenkaichi games were essentially just for couch multiplayer with the boys. It was a goof. Everyone knew a SS4 Gogeta would stomp a Chiaotsu. If he couldn't, SS4 Gogeta would be underwhelming as hell. You'd just vaguely balance things out by having the worse player in the group pick the better chatacter or just picking more on their team, and it worked. Now that people are trying to force this into being a traditional, 1v1, balanced fighter, they're finding issues. The problem here is that this was NEVER the goal of these games. The amount of people whining like children that randos online aren't playing the specific way they want them to, and then going online to expose everyone to their silly behavior is truly baffling. They really don't see how they look to people outside their hate-bubble. Like, no hyperbole, this type of "I want to be able to WIN with my favorite character no matter what" behavior is legit how infants act. Its pathetic. Either adapt and learn how to play/make a DP team or be quiet. You clearly want to win very badly if you're getting so upset, so LEARN how to win. ISN'T THAT WHAT FIGHTING GAMES ARE ABOUT?

@waskarvega5301 you get a average of 4 DP per character which would mean more damage overall. So longer matches or more points would help so there's less matches that end in time

People already do enough cheese with the dp they have. adding more dp would only prolong matches more, which we don't need, and allow people more chances to win due to timeout which is easier to do the more characters you have. They did the dp system for a reason and took into account the cost of all the characters, specially the op ones.

You missed the whole point. He’s saying that yes the game is inherently unbalanced and because of that it’s stupid for people to expect it to be perfectly competitive because the field is not leveled. So people don’t enjoy the game because they go in expecting to be able to just do what they want and win without trying to adapt or learn to counter and then call the game bad. I agree it’s not for everyone, but giving the game a bad wrap because you expect it to be something it’s not is really stupid.
