Goresh, idk if someone told you already but try to buy a dualsense edge for the ps5 (basically a pro controller), because drifting on the base dualsense its almost guaranteed the edge shouldn't get drifting because the joysticks are mechanical but if something happens to it the edge one lets you change the joystick module pretty easily, also you can map your buttons and create profiles for them so you can have different buttons set-ups for different games/activities. Highly recommended since you are a new user to the console you may have not know it. The only downsize (besides the price) is that the battery life is pretty short around 6-8 hours (it depends on how many features of the controller the game uses), I dont think you would care about it since you are pretty close to the console so you can just let it connected but just in case I mentioned it.
