17 & 18 has always been among my favorite characters exactly because of their demeanor. They sound like exactly what they are. A mix of human and robots. Doesn't even matter if they get stressed or anything. They barely ever scream like the others, and even while getting overpowered they have this creepy stoic expression on them

This episode and others show that it’s not like the TOP is bad, but it just makes you wish you could have seen these characters have actual full journeys, to make their growth feel more solid and legit. Regardless, the TOP does not disappoint whatsoever, and I’m happy you’re enjoying it so much.

They are very clearly meant to be a couple, censorship laws and general company annoyances prevent them from outright stating it unfortunately. Every appearance they've made in games since Super released has only further pushed that (Using the colors of the lesbian flag as a background when they're supporting eachother in DBL, referring to her as "My Caulifla" constantly etc).

@Lord_Freeza1410 Not at all its Universe 2 that is full of LGBTQ+ representation. Kale and Califa are meant to be two extremes of the same line just like all saiyan fusions. Also, there is no such thing as "My Caulifa" but I wouldn't put it past the English dubbing community filled with political extremist who change scripts on their own. Thank god Japan is choosing AI voice overs to kick these people out while keeping the context intact.

@13:00 Slight aside based on this mashup idea. The whole point of Dragonball Heroes is to sell a trading card game and they do this by basically throws everything at the wall to see what sticks. Every match-up they could think of pops up - characters from DBZ, Super, GT, Xenoverse; if they've appeared they are going in, plus a bunch they made up just for this. GT's SSJ4 Goku vs Golden Freiza, sure, that is in the first few episodes. Goku vs Goku is even in there, but you'd have to wait a bit for that. Each episode is only 10 minutes and usually at least half is the fights. It all gets rather crazy at multiple points, but if you want mad mashups doing (as TFS put it) "lots of fighty-fighty" then turn your brain off and look them up. Just don't worry about power scaling - the writers didn't.

I'm glad you're enjoying Frieza because most fans were hesitant/hated the idea of Frieza returning since we just saw him in Ressurection F(which didn't age well). To our surprise, Frieza was one of the best additions to the T.O.P. I honestly don't see the T.O.P. being as good as it was if they didn't include Frieza.

"We are the Zennies" Yup. Although I also find that a bit presumptuous of Toei Animation...The Audience have all the power to make a serious successful or not.. And sure the Zennies are all-powerful in the truest sense, but they also have the mind of 4-year-olds... It is fun to be silly once in a while.. Gonna be honest, I kind of forgot how dense some of these episodes are sooooo there is a lot to cover here. First off, the epic showdown between Goku and Jiren......... does not happen this episode. Top and the B-Tier Pride Troopers unfortunately come to put an end to the fight before it even begins. I love how confused Goku is by their shenanigans. You'd think he'd be used to the more eccentric opponents by now with his past with the Ginyu Force, or even his son and daughter-in-law dressing up as the Great Saiyaman 1 and 2. The Pride Troopers present to us a fun ferocious frenzy of foes for our hopeful heroes to face off against. This gaggle of goons, with peculiar powers, prove to be a problem. They're very campy, silly, Saturday Morning Cartoonish, and so quintessential Dragon Ball. A Dragon Ball series just wouldn't be complete without at least one Super Sentai reference. Besides Top, Dyspo, & Jiren, there really isn't much depth to the Pride Troopers, but I still find them to be a fun batch of baddies. Next we get to see Team Universe 7 reunite after Kale's rampage. It's great to see Master Roshi and Tenshinhan working together. They had one of my favorite character arcs together in OG Dragon Ball, so seeing them team up fills me with nostalgia. And I like that Gohan continues to take his role of team leader seriously by checking on any member of his team he can find. And then there is Freeza. I love this character so much. He is so deliciously malicious. He isn't allowed to massacre his opponents for once, so now he if forced to play with his food. It is both disturbing and hilarious. And him telling Vegeta to "Go Fetch" is just the cherry on top. He just oozes charisma despite how despicable he is. I'm so glad he is here. And speaking of former antagonists that I'm glad to have back. Let's move onto the androids. Lapis and Lazuli come in for the save to help Goku and the Universe 6 Saiyans. It is so ironic that the beings created to destroy Son Goku are now protecting him. They have had a complete 180 as characters, yet they still keep their stone cold, almost apathetic disposition. But what I find really interesting is that Lapis, Lazuli, & Goku all try to help Kale and Caulifla even when the Pride Troopers are focusing on them anymore, but I'll circle back to that later. Kale and Caulifla are two characters I find myself enjoying a lot more on this rewatch. I love their bond as "sworn sisters", and their fight with the Pride Troopers reveals a lot about their true characters. The Pride Troopers are supposedly super heroes of "justice" in their universe, yet are willing to relinquish their morals to win. They could have easily thrown Caulifla out of the ring once they trapped her in the alternate dimension, but they didn't. As soon as their backs are against the wall, they trap Kale and Caulifla. And pretty much start torturing Caulifla. On the other hand you have the supposed "villain" of the tournament (in the eyes of the other competitors) with Goku, who is trying to save Kale and Caulifla, despite not even being from the same universe or on the same team. And Caulifla, someone who is originally presented to the audience as a brute and ruthless saiyan, is doing everything in her power to protect Kale and is constantly complimenting and encouraging her. And as for Kale.... I do think that Kale gaining control of her "Legendary" form as quickly as she does, is a bit rushed, but given how much there is to cover in the tournament, I get that compromises had to be made. That being said, I love her design while she is in control. Despite how strong she looks now, she somehow keeps this innocence to her. She seems at peace with herself. And with the way her and Caulifla's beams wrap around each other when they fight against the Pride Troopers is just so cute! We come to the end of this episode with Goku and the androids letting Kale and Caulifla go. You can excuse Goku's reasoning with his saiyan biology compelling him to let strong foes get away. He does have a history of that, but it begs the question, why do the androids let them go? Personally, I think it's because they are both parents. They're protectors by nature, and seeing two obviously younger and hurt opponents fighting to protect themselves struck a cord with them. Lapis and Lazuli were both orphans with nothing but each other to rely on for the longest time, maybe they saw themselves in Kale and Caulifla. Whatever their reason is, we end this episode on another cliffhanger. Another notable fighter is about to make her debut in the tournament. She is arguably the most unique fighter in the tournament, and I'm excited to talk about her. Next time on Dragon Ball Super. -Red Sapphire

Uni 6 gets too many freebies imo. Most of the fights is just 50% Goku and 30% Uni 6 then rest is just the other Universes. Whats the point of making all these characters if there not gonna have any screentime. Its starting be like Bleach, they have lots of cool characters but most just die offscreen or never appear at all.

Mhm.. just saying in the old Dragonball days, Kale would have needed at least a Season or so, to control that legendary Super Saiyan Power. But who cares anymore?... Clearly not the writers. I know things have changed but, to fast is to fast. I love powerful female fighters a lot, but i want it earned, not given because of the writing. There are rules in your own story, and DBS was breaking them everytime. They are cool, but it felt rushed to me.

Never liked Uni 6 except for Hit. There was too much ass kissing towards them, especially when they allowed them to use Potaras. Mostly is eye candy with the female saiyans, and most characters are mostly the same as 7 but with a color change.

Uni 6 is different, OH NO BIG SHOCKER. Their Saiyans never had tails and have SOOOOO much more potential then uni 7. ITS ALMOST STATED IN THE SHOW MULTIPLE TIMES. The one who has the potential to MATCH a power they are against and the LEGENDARY super saiyan. SUCH A DESIGN FLAW OH MY GAWWWWWWWD
