Masenko is an old attack early Gohan used to use. Most of the time he sticks to Kamehameha now though. Think he used it the first time against nappa. Oh also it's a skill developed by piccolo. He taught it to gohan :D

So, a couple things I'm sure you've heard already, but I'm gonna repeat lol: - Trunks left after the Cell games while Goku was dead. So the only Goku's he's known for 7 years has been Black and he didn't know mainline Goku was revived. - Toriyama, in the first full color chapter, used blue for Bulma's hair. He then decided to switch to Lavender for all subsequent full color chapters and artwork. Toei, the anime studio, went with the first color during their adaptation. Trunks and Bulma, in the manga, always have the same color hair. The anime staff did not follow through with this during Cell, however. So, for Super, Toriyama started drawing both Future Trunks and Present Trunks with blue hair. The anime staff kept the purple on present Trunks, but used the blue for Future.

The Masenko is Kid Gohan's signature move, he used it a lot in the Saiyan and Namek Saga as Piccolo taught it to him after Goku died his first death, but because Goku in Trunks' timeline died after coming back from Namek he probably never taught Future Gohan the Kamehameha, which would become our Gohan's signature move afterwards. Thus Trunks knows it and not the Kamehameha.

From what i remember, Bulmas hair was always supposed to blue but toei messed up and made it green, then blue. Trunks then showed up with purple hair which was supposed to match his mother s blue hair. Now they've fixed both future trunks and bulma to the correct blue color only to get kid trunks hair color wrong but it gets changed to blue eventually i believe.

Masenko is Piccolo's technique. It becomes Gohan's main energy blast when he is young, similar to how Goku uses Kamehameha. You don't see much of it in DBZA though. Naturally, because Future Trunks is Future Gohan's pupil as well, he sometimes uses the Masenko. Future Trunks really is such an experienced warrior and it shows in all the different techniques and styles he has picked up from his various mentors. He uses a lot of Gohan and Vegeta's techniques in DBZ and even starts to pick up things from Goku as he interacts with him more in Super.

The hair thing is that Bulma and Trunks are supposed to have the same hair color and both have lavender hair in the manga, but anime made Bulma's hair turquoise and Trunks kept the lavender. Even in the manga the colors weren't that consistent with Toriyama some times painting them blue, so around the time of Battle of Gods, Toriyama just set that Bulma's hair color is blue and future Trunks followed it in Super, but for some reason they didn't changed present Trunks' hair color until Super Hero, so we can assume Bulma and Trunks had lavender hair that turned Blue with age.

DBZ abridged made a joke about trunks' hair change in one of their db super abridged shorts, basically the reason for the change in hair color has to do with toriyama and toei(the animation studio) going with different colors for bulma and trunks' hair in the manga and anime. Trunks' hair is supposed to match his mother's hair, and toriyama originally had bulma's hair color as teal in manga before switching it to a purple color for most of it. When they animated trunks they decided to go with his hair in the manga, which was purple like bulma's was in the manga and when it came to super they decided to make his hair blue to match his mother's. It should be noted though that Toriyama had tried in the past to switch present Trunks' hair to blue, as he'd done so for character designs and promotional images for the Battle of Gods movie and such. You could also just say trunk's hair just turns blue as he gets older if you want to think of an in universe reason for it.

Another comment said it simpler, so I'll go into a bit more detail about why Trunks thought it was Black instead of realising its Goku. Before Future Trunks first went to the past, he never really saw Goku except for when he was a tiny baby because Goku died in the original timeline. Then Future Trunks went to the present timeline to help them out with the androids and Cell, but interacted with Goku for a few minutes and left then came back. Then he didn't see Goku much still because of the heart virus and when Goku came back he was right in the time chamber with Vegeta for a *year* then as soon as he left, was off to fight Cell with Vegeta before Goku went in. Then once Goku came out, chatted for a few mins and once or twice in the week following before Goku died and Trunks went back. Then you had the seven years between Cell and Buu, the future version of the Buu Saga which was less chaotic and over faster (because Trunks and the Kai's didn't mess around) but had more devastating results. Then he lived isolated with Bulma for a while until Goku Black showed up and killed everyone he loved. He knew Goku and his face, but had way less time spent with him than he did Black, who definitely left a major effect on his mental health. And just as he barely escaped, the last thing he saw was Black and the first thing he saw was Goku staring right at him not long after his mom and lover died. Poor dude gets it rough.

The Pilaf Gangs' age has canonically changed a couple of times, but when I Mai was introduced, she was in her early 20s, and bulma was 16. So Mai is about 5-8 years older than Bulma. Having her romantically linked to bulmas son is definitely problematic. It's really just a justification for adult trunks to be with her, but getting to that point is creepy.

Here's the thing with blue haired Future trunks, when toriyama was announcing the next arc, Mr toriyama, just simply forgot what trunks's hair color was, until the fans, realize his mistake, and the people that was working on dragon Ball super, add that particular point in time, let it blue, so we and they won't get confused, between the two. Always keep in mind, Akira Toriyama was a busy man, always working on this, that, and the other thing. Sometimes, the other other thing. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised, if he was working on something else as a ghost in heaven.

Okay so the whole blue hair thing is mostly a retcon. In a early Draginball movie young bulmas hair is colored purple however in the manga its supposed to be blue. Later in the anime the make her hair blue and it has stayed blue for long time now. They just decided to retcon Future trunks hair to make his manga hair which is blue but for some reason kept young trunks hair purple. its weird, even in flashbacks his hair is blue, its not supposed to make sense, they just made a random artistic choice.

Not quite correct. Bulmas hair switches between blue ans purple early on in manga illustrations, but ends up being purple permanently. It's blue on Volume 2s cover and purple on every cover after that. Same with chapter 1 of the manga (colored by Toriyama) also show her with blue hair and switch to purple, with a handful of exceptions later. She is even blonde a few times. The anime chose blue but gave Trunks the manga consistent purple hair. They just made Trunks hair consistent with Bulmas anime design.

When it comes to the hair color after doing some research I found out a few things. Bulma's hair was originally purple so Trunks' hair was purple as well. Some time during the transition to the anime Bulma's hair color changed to the blue we know today and its been that way ever since. However, Trunks' hair never changed color to blue until super happened which is apparently Toriama's original sketch of the new future Trunks for super having blue hair to match his mom's. There's no in universe reason as I can see, just a mix up of Akira Toriama doing things and Toyotaro doing things when they animate.

So yes, technically Mai used to be like 40, but the wish they made was kind of a monkey's paw wish. What they meant to wish for was youthful bodies, what they got was literally regressed into children. That's why none of Pilaf's inventions work like they used to, even though he's a genius. TLDR: The Pilaf gang actually physically and mentally regressed into being children, hence the Mai/Trunks pair

Yeah if your watching dbz abridged it’s more like you watching a show that’s making fun of dragon ball dbz dbs etc. that’s probably why your confused when bulma recognized future trunks and the Time Machine. gotta start dragon ball z the original or dragon ball z Kai (Saiyan Saga Frieza Saga Cell Saga) etc. watching the abridged stuff might keep you confused with the storyline Dragon ball z because it’s more parody comedy then what the story of Akira Toriyama created so hope that helps!

If I get regressed in age, I'm not doing what Mai did but it's a different story if you're at legal age and with someone like Future Mai because it's no longer considered true pxdofillia or disgusting. Yeah, the Trunks hair colour thing is mildly infuriating. Bulma asks Present Trunks if Future Trunks has blue hair, as if it's always been blue, even though Present Trunks is standing right there with purple hair! From what I remember when I researched this, when Toriyama did the character art for Super, both for Present Trunks and Future Trunks he gave them the new blue colour. Which some would argue is the "correct" colour in the first place (Bulma and Trunks have a complicated colour palette history between the different anime and manga iterations) - HOWEVER the anime team "corrected" Present Trunks' hair to purple to match Dragon Ball Z, but when Toriyama once again drew the character art for Super and gave Future Trunks blue hair too, they DIDN'T change it this time. So you end up with this really stupid visual inconsistency and dialogue that doesn't make sense. Even if you argue that Future Trunks' hair changed colour as he got older, Bulma wouldn't know this. Her first assumption should have been that it was purple, as it was the last time she saw Future Trunks. Funnily enough, in the manga Bulma says something like "is there a young man in there with the same colour hair as you?" because in the Super Manga, Present Trunks actually had blue hair from the start, so the two of them do actually match. In the most recent movie, Present Trunks has visibly aged (finally, that was another problem) and now also has the blue hair, so going forward this won't be a thing anymore. But man, it's one of the dumbest visual inconsistencies I've seen in any cartoon or anime. They should have either changed Present Trunks' hair to blue from the start like the manga did, or changed Future Trunks' hair back to purple. I know none of this should really bother me, but it does! It's SO dumb!
