All Kai's are meant to be like him. Zamasu is an outlier that is so off that no-one would see it coming. Kai's are divine beings born to be nurturing and nice. Zamasu is so against what a Kai actually is that is why Gowasu wouldn't see it, it's not supposed to be a thing.

Out of all the things this arc does - one of the best is Trunks using his Father’s signature moves. Gohan has the Kamehameha, Trunks gets the Galick Gun. Perfection.

Remember when goku got shot by a ray gun? Despite what a lot of people think, goku and the other saiyans aren't naturally super durable. They have to actively use their ki to enhance their durability. If they're caught off guard they can be pierced by a bullet. In fact goku, while in super saiyan form, was hurt by a rock thrown by krillin cause he was caught off guard. So technically a bullet to the head could kill goku black if he doesn't know it's coming.

Stop defending bad writing Kid Goku in episode 1 casually tanked bullets just rewatch OG dragonball. Z characters are very durable the writing just got worse over time. This started during the Cell saga and went on. Krillin throwing a rock is filler but still. Imagine thinking Z characters off guard are bullet level jesus christ.

@@donsq4306 Not bad writing just consistent writing. Original dragon ball doesn't really matter much, what is current does. Z characters were only durable when their durability was enhanced by ki. Otherwise they're not that much durable, it's not bad writing it just makes sense.

Future Zamasu and Goku black just hanging around their mountain cabin drinking tea is just inherently funny. When taking breaks from their multiverseal genocide they just relax and well it is almost wholesome that they keep Gowasus tea time alive. Getting sniped in the head would probably do little to Goku so again all it did for Goku black was ruin his tea time. Future Trunks put upp a good fight but ultimately he got shanked. Both Goku and Vegeta don't bother to listen to Future Zamasu while he also basically admits that he just likes hearing his voice and that it doesent matter if any mortals actually listen. Vegeta got a regular V instead of a W because Black was still standing also even after not being a villain Vegeta just can't help but monologe witch in this case is extra stupid considering he knows that Goku black has a sayan body and thus gets stronger from beatings so instead of just killing him he wastes time bragging about how good he is. Also bragging about how hes more of a sayan than Goku black is probably more of a conpliment since he sees mortal and especially sayans as inherently evil. Its pretty much the equvivalent of bragging about how much more jewish you are compard to a nazi. That sure showed him. Of course since this is dragon ball and Vegeta can never truly get a W he will probably get completley stomped during this arc again. Gowasu being uppest over the super dragon balls being destroyed makes complete sense since they could have reversed the damage caused.

When a Saiyan is beaten to near death, their power level increases immensely. If that holds true, tossing back a senzu each time they get tambourined and pincushion would give a boost. If warring and fighting is in their genetics, I would think the behavior to run back to fighting after a loss and recovery is in lock-step with the boost.

Best guess atm, their biology was messed with by an Angel that survived the erasure of their Universe by a past Omni-king and the Grand Minister or whatever his name is waiting for a signal to enact a planned coup millions of years in the making. Tapping species to make them stronger. Influencing Namekians to create minor versions of Dragon Balls for use later. Influencing Freeza's race towards empirical rule to spread chaos to encourage fighting. For now, that's my side "what if.." overall theory for the future. Zeno is like 8 million years old. It would mean he's relatively new as Omni-king if DB lore is then universe is billion of years old. There used to be an uncountable amount of universes in the beginning, but the Angels were the first to reach peak, take control, began to rule saw fit, and systematically started erasing any universe they deemed a direct threat to their rule. Ooh, another idea. Saiyans (not their original species name) being descendants of an ancient race that originally ruled a Universe and became adversarial in the eyes of the Angels for not submitting to their rule. That race inspire Angels to create Destroyer Gods a means to wipe out some species that could threaten them in some way if left unchecked. Disguising the destruction and genocide as a requirement to keep "balance of the universe" and blah. Some Angels wanted peace and negotiations, but the more brutal Angels decided destruction of any competition was necessary. An Angel created a time ring, went back and saved some of the ancient race early in their history and put them into multiple Universes in a "don't put all your eggs in one basket" move. As a failsafe to future Angel corruption. They evolved differently across the universes hey survived in, with two versions we see in DBS as those with the most potential to eventually rival the Angels. Theories all in fun.

One thing that has never made sense and never will make sense is Trunks getting so strong. He could barely fight base Black, and even the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Goku and Vegeta were trained by a God of Destruction and his teacher, who is a literal Angel. Trunks got a new "form" kinda out of no where.

Those final few moments of the fight justify all of the pacing issues. They didnt need to do the human plot , but it makes sense , but they should of done it before goku went to the future cuz it takes away from the battle later on. It shouldnt have been a mystery , the goku black identity , they should of had zamasu at the beggining with him , and have the heroes find that he is the same person through the interaction of the fight or the things he says about them , the same thing zamasu says , they didnt need to know who he was or where he came from. In the future , zamasu knows of goku but not because this time loop. Its probably cuz of the t.o.p that zamasu found about goku , more than likely the battle was different - they had no exihibition match which means the future t.o.p had different rules and goku didnt achieve ultra instict - or this was the real reason why zamasu stole his body thinking he would be able to use ultra instict.

In Z it was literally a detriment to his own life, he copes far better with things, does help they are on a relatively even playing field at the moment.

Cannot wait for you guys to finish the show and move to the 2 movies that take place after the . The Zamasu arc is kinda mid, Future Trunks is a damn good character, being the only Saiyan that trully embodies the pursue of peace and justice, he carries the pride of his father, the ideals of Goku and most importantly, his master, Gohan's compassion and hopeful nature. And the arc right after has some major pacing problems. But the movies after are for me the best pieces of content out of DBS, with Battle of Gods being a close third place.

1 - Vegeta calls Goku his Saiyan name (Kakarot) - Think about it this way, Goku is the last reminder of his race, the last pure blooded U7 Saiyan. I actually like the fact he uses Kakarot, the times he's used Goku just doesnt feel right. Vegeta recognises Goku's Saiyan heritage. 2 - In addition to 1 there the fact that Goku is Saiyan and a great fighter. Vegeta recognises this, he sacrifices himself for family "and yes even for you Kakarot), he even says that Goku is a better fighter during a fight against Buu. 3 - Vegeta at the very least wants to keep up with Goku. Sure he wants to master U.I first but I believe the big different between the 2 is Goku always wants a new form whereas Vegeta actually takes time to perfect what he has. 4 - His speech to Goku Black. "That body, down to the very corners of its cells, was made by Kakarots long, fierce history of combat…Only a true numbskull like him can use the Saiyan cells within it…" He doesn't understand the path of the mortals, only thing he can do is judge everyone except him. He stole that power, he never earned it.
