I always liked the scene where Gohan is silent about giving Goku his consent. He had lost his dad twice & both were major moments: the 1st was the end of his innocence the 2nd the end of childhood. So he’s reluctant.

I like this episode because it shows that Goku's intelligence goes a little beyond fighting. To jump-start his heart, he would have to know basic heart resuscitation and the right amount of energy output to revive himself. When fighting Hit he gained a great understanding of his time manipulation by just watching and experiencing it. As we have seen before he's also good at agriculture. Literally none of does things have anything to do with fighting.

If you ever decide to watch og dragonball, you'll find that there is a focus in later seasons on goku being a superb strategist. He backs it up with technique and the power scaling is balanced and makes sense. When he loses a fight in db it makes sense, and when he wins its because he found a weakness to exploit. Super goku is a lot more like db goku, and Z goku is a weird inbetween.

hits power basically works by letting him hide in another dimension, phase out of reality, when hes going to get hit then he comes out and attacks the time in that dimension is made up of all the time he skipped, since he skipped it he never experienced it so he can put it in another dimension and live out that time there, essentially since its another dimension, goku was able to power up enough to break through it, just like buu and gotenks did in the time chamber, he just had to be strong enough to overpower hit by a large amount already anyway with blue + kaioken if he didnt know how the power worked (another dimension) and he wasnt strong enough to just blow it up, he wouldnt be able to do it

No. You have to ALMOST die for a zenkai boost. If you actually die, you get nothin'.

Glad you remember that feat Super Buu did because that is similar to what Goku is doing. The difference is Super Buu(Gohan absorbed) was able to rip wholes in a dimension while Goku was able to shatter it. In case you're wondering how strong Goku is compared to Super Buu, Goku would make easy work out of Super Buu in his base form, the same also goes for Vegeta. That's how strong they've gotten after they started training with Whis.

If Goku was there, vegeta would have pushed through. Vegeta only wants to get stronger for pride and his competivness against Goku. For example, when Goku was dead Vegeta lost most of his motivation to train. He trained himself to be as strong as gohan, and then just coasted taking it easy. Even kid trunks was able to donthebsame training vegeta was doing during that time.
