The lyrics of this song is actually counting up slowly, from the hundreds to thousands to tens of thousands--much like what a scouter would read on Bardock when his power level rises as he races towards Frieza's ship, barreling through his men to save the saiyan race.

@@HemiEngine392 People say apparently when he fires at Frieza, there is another power level rated at 220k, so somehow, Bardock mustered up enough power from 10k or lower to 220k. It's possible, since PLs increase with special attacks though.
