Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 : Using Cheat Codes to play DU with characters who don't have a story mode

With cheat codes, it is possible to see Cut Contents in the game Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 and in particular enter into Dragon Universe (DU) with characters who don't have a Story Mode.
For this, using a Full Character Swap for the Player 1 was necessary.
And of course, theses codes are now available to everybody to test this by themselves.
My Budokai 3 pnach files have been updated with this new Full Player 1 Character Swap Code which lets People enter DU with characters who don't have a Story Mode :

Avec des codes de triche, il est possible de voir une partie du contenu qui a été coupé/abandonné par les développeurs du jeu Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 avant sa publication.
En particulier, en utiliser un code qui remplace le personnage contrôlé par le joueur 1, il est possible d'entrer dans le mode de jeu Univers du Dragon (DU) avec des personnages qui n'ont pas de mode Histoire.
Ce code a été ajouté à mes fichiers pnach pour Budokai 3 et ceux qui le souhaitent pourront tester tout ça eux-même.

Yes, they have a similar story anyways. I don't know why they didn't finish his story mode, it was easy to finish it.

I think that in dbz budokai 3 they planned to put stories with enemy characters or characters that have no interest as playable in story mode but it was canceled due to lack of time, because it's very rare that freezer is on his ship lol, or Dr. Gero with a battle point

Yes, they had clearly planned to give them a story mode, especially since a lot of dialogues in english and japanese which seem to correspond to theses story modes had already been recorded and had been added to the Budokai 3 DVD.

Someone already managed to incompletly restore the Cooler' Story mode, so this may happen. But for the moment, some problems are remaining : - How to change the capsules found in the World maps and Dialogues events must be found. - How to replace the 3 capsules rewards at the end of the Story (So the right Breakthrough and Memory capsules can be displayed : This is one is possible and cheat codes, which can also be added through modding, are coming soon). - How to add more opponents (For the moment, I have made some tests and replacing some enemies - not all - in the DU is possible). The biggest problem, thought, is to edit the Dragon Universe Characters Wheel in order to make the characters who don't have a DU Story Mode selectable.

I simply created a raw cheat code which fully replaces the character controlled by the player 1 by the character you want and then I simply entered the DU mode. With this code enabled, whatever character you select will be replaced by the character you chose with the cheat code. My codes are in raw format and so they have to be used with the PCSX2 and AETHERSX2 emulators (but most of thel can be converted in Action Replay Max and Codebreaker format in order to use them on the Playstation 2). Actually, with cheat codes it is possible to replace the 3D models of the secondary costumes of the characters with the unplayable characters (like Bulma, Kibito, ect) who are included in the game kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3vIqnunrcyLbZY . Theses codes are included in my pnach files (so, everybody can use them).

Doesn"t matter. Full Player 1 Swap code is a short code which can easily be converted to ARMAX or Codebreaker formats and be used on the actual Playstation 2 console.

@@grognougnou is there any point to it though can you actually use them in DU fights and customise their move sets

@@blikboijohnson4968 For normal players, it shows them that each caractère was gonna have a story mode. For modders who are trying to make the storymode functional, the code can be useful for Time gain (because actually it is already possible to change things like opponents, capsules and the final 3 capsules rewards in the Dragon Universe Story modes).
