I can’t stop laughing! The wrestling! It was insane!! The crazy fans made it so good! Talk about an epic experience for your first ever DragonCon 2022 babe. I’m so happy you shared the story , next year we will have to talk about the blue rajah! Reliving the Airbnb experience brought me back a little PTSD but so happy seeing us power thru that and find a really good and easy place to stay. The Spaceballs Pizza The Hut was my fave of all the cosplay that day and the haunted mansion was 2nd! That was the best Thursday night at DragonCon I have ever had. So special babe. I'm so truly happy to see you have your dream come true Cris! You deserve it because your a very sweet person. This might sound silly, but as a child I was given a bird book and saw something called a "steller's Jay". I thought it was so beautiful, but the caption said "only in the west". I 100% told myself "oh man, I will never see this bird". Fast forward to 29yr old Dara at a KOA in Williams,AZ...walks out of cabin, hears something weird, bam! Steller's Jay!!!! My white whale of bird's! In the words of Cinderella... A dream is a wish your heart makes. 😩 Ugh, that was corny. Oh well. Congrats Cris 😁💕

Don't let up on AirBNB and they will make it DIFFICULT sometimes. I've had a few bad experiences because I travel a lot. Persistence is key but I have eventually had my issues resolved. I still use them but for inexperienced travelers, I DO NOT recommend using their services.

Yikes on the Airbnb! We have only had one issue with them and it was resolved asap but I've had some of the best stays on there from my trolly to my airstreams! Holy moly though, I'm livid for you BUT I'm also happy that they resolved it. ❤️ I have nothing else to say about this except that I'm so grateful for you and Tampa Jay for letting us live vicariously through your videos! All the cosplayers were amazing! I love that these cons have inside jokes and little homages. Can't wait to see more of this series as I slowly catch up!

Tampa Jay sent me. As an old-school Dragon*Con attendant (late '90s - late '00s) I'm very interested to see how your first Dragon*Con experience went. 12:01 It wouldn't BE D*C if the escalators didn't break down. I don't know if they still do them, but D*C used to host robot battles, as well as the wrestling. Something else to look out for if it's still at the con is the Atlanta Radio Theater Company, which did live staged radio shows, complete with foley artists (sound effects) and celebrity guest performers. By now you already know to wear comfortable shoes. It also helps to carry your own TP (especially toward the end of the event), and an extra bottle of water. I hope you get to see the Dragon*Con parade. Enjoy the rest of your convention! =^[.]^=

Glad that you were able to remedy your accommodations. A friend just had a horrible experience with Vrbo where he'd rented one place. When he got into the city, he received a notification that his reservation was cancelled with no reason given. He looked, and the same place was relisted at a higher price. After a long back and forth with VRBO, he got a refund. Found another place...which was immediately cancelled and immediately relisted at a higher price. Another long conversation...he was told that the owners can cancel whenever they want and not give a reason, not concerned at all about the customer. He'll never use them again. He ended up staying at a hotel for his trip.

Really enjoyed the video. I've never used Airbnb, but I've had friends and family who have had issues with it. Double bookings, last-minute cancellations, horrible neighborhood, house unclean just to name a few. It's enough for me to say No. I am glad you got a full refund and were able to find a hotel a few miles away (ok 22 miles away, that's about the distance I drive to get to the store in my part of the world). So glad you are becoming a wrestling fan, look forward to seeing more wrestling content on your channel!!!!

same thing happened to me last year going on vacation, had a house booked for months at the beach, covid restrictions got lifted and several days before I went the owner sent me an email said here is your refund, it is cancelled and would not answer anything, cut off all communication. come to find out he cancelled and got x2 the amount of money from someone else since there was a high demand. good luck with them, I won't use them again. Ihad to cancel my vacation because I could not find a place.
