Great video! Happy that I bought the Premium Edition and looking forward to future updates. One suggestion: please consider restricting Tome research so that you have to start at L1 for each affinity added. It feels wrong to be able to add a T4 tome for a new affinity skipping all the earlier tomes and it leads to less differentiation between games.

Fantastic game and great DLC! Please also add some diversity to the regular character creation: there is just one "African" face, no "Asian" faces or other ethnicities. While you say about inspirations from different cultures, the clothing is just generic fantasy one, no Middle East (with exclusion of vaguely Middle Eastern mystics) or Asian clothing or armor. Take a cue from CK3 with its unbelievable amount of ethnicities, cultures, clothing, etc. I would be happy to pay extra for a DLC with more ethnic looks and clothing. Also, please make more story realms and scenarios, I've always enjoyed them the most. In addition, new AoW4 has no option to continue with the same heroes through various maps like in scenarios in AoW3 or in empire mode in AoW: Planetfall.

In contrast to CK3, AOW4 is a fantasy game. It doesn't have to check diversity-boxes.

@@mikaelb.2070 And yet, they say about inspirations from Asia in case of the dragons, but there are no Asian characters in the game. Also, look at Warhammer: Total War, based on the Warhammer franchise, while their factions are very stereotypical and simplistic, they have cultural and ethnic diversity. And this is a very generic fantasy world, similarly to what AoW4 is.

I love that asides from the dragons, the Lizardmen have officially made their return. They are a race that haven't been seen or used since the very first Age of Wonders.

I still play AoW 3 all the time! (In my opinion, one of the best games) A game that combines the element of "Empire Building" similar to 'Civilization' series, but better in a lot of ways.. 4X exploration of a map full of opportunities to acquire resources such as gold, mana, research points, casting points, etc. "Inns" to hire mercenaries to join your Army! The game adds such an incredible variety of strategic choices and decisions. Also, I love that the "Battle Mode" switches to a "Tactical" map - where your choices can mean victory, or the loss of your most powerful knight, or even your Hero! And to top it all of, this game also incorporates RPG elements - where the player and the Heroes are able to find equipment (weapons, shields, armor, jewelry, etc) that can drastically improve your heroes skills, add new abilities, etc.. and then there's also another "Civ-like" element in the "Researching of Spells" - which is similar to the "Technology-Tree" in some ways, but different in that the game doesn't "Advance" thru historical eras - rather the game plays out in a rich, fantasy world setting! Additionally, I have recently begun experimenting with Mods! (There are a BUNCH of great mods out there that can really enhance gameplay) Overall, I rate Age of Wonders 3 "Eternal Lords" a 9.5/10 - The only minor thing I dislike is that battles can become monotonous after a bit, yet it doesn't stop me from still playing in July 2023! 🎮🎇✨

Great game, hope the multiplayer stability issues get better with time, cause this title I'm looking forward to all the DLCs and multiple playthroughs, only criticism I have is not being able to finish more than half of my multiplayer games due to the game just "freezing" and becoming unplayable at some point, dtill worth the tries as when it doesn't bug ai conssider this the best in the genre, by a good margin

I'm really hoping you'll separate the multiplayer balancing from the singleplayer balancing. The current beta nerfs the sandboxy fun out of it to make it more multiplayer compatible but you don't have to sacrifice to sandboxy singleplayer fun to do that.

Great stuff. But the main focus unfortunately is still on cosmetics. Visuals, look how cool it looks? Look how colorful... Yes all good, but how does it FEEL? AOW 4 is still in it's fledgling state. After around 5hours you FEEL like you have seen it all, the dragons look cool but feel 90% identical. It is the gameplay you have to start working on. Unit variety is sparse, some are even copy paste with slightly different colors (Balrog / Living Fog, the Serpents), the culture still pretty lackluster, especially industrial and Mystics. It's a good game, but to make it a great game, it needs to more than just "Look pretty".

We loved this game, the first dozen hours that is. But it took us that long to realize that the AI is just so awful that solo play is nearly impossible, and we can't get multiplayer to work either. Almost as bad, you can't save MP games. So neither my friend and I play it anymore out of total frustration. This DLC adds nothing but more "prettiness", and nothing to functionality or playability.
