@tommis117 It is since Drakath originally was Human. This DF event is when he turns into the dragon you know him as in AQ. For now the process is not complete since he is just pure energy taking on the form of a dragon due to just fusing with Fluffy.

@orrthehunter No. SOME things will happen the same, yes. It is POSSIBLE that this will lead to Drakath dying and then be eventually brought several dozen times back as a Dracolich, but it's not sure in any way. The timelines got separated before the start of DF, and further brought further away thanks to several time travel cases. A good example is the Fire War. In DF, it occurred almost 5 years too early, and the ShadowScythe were involved, while in AQ, the Network was involved.

@tommis117 The timeline difference does not mean the same out come will not happen. Despite the timeline difference some things will still happen the same way despite a change in timeline. Despite interference with a time stream a new timeline can remain 99% similar to the original timeline. Only difference could be a few new characters may appear where the original timeline did not have but the same out come will still happen.

Lol. It was so funny to see how I actually beat him with "Wake" followed by the 12-hit special of the "Necrotic Sword of Doom" (hit like 8000 with a Crit of 78). Yet the game still thought that I lost by showing me the "Defeat" screen.

@tommis117 It's not really a prequel because so many things are radically different, but it does take place before AQ and some things in DF will line up with events in AQ.. Because of the different timelines, anything goes really.. but DF tries to have fun by making them similar. It's kinda like this: If you play AQ, there will be 'easter eggs' for you as you play.. otherwise you are just playing DF and that's fine cause it's self-contained.

the best i could do in this fight was to use the doomkinght's carve ability. Even then, once Drakath's hp was below half, it said that he drew on the power of the orbs and his power did at least 5X more damage, killing me instantly when he used the breath attack. oh well.
