I love the fact that whenever I fight someone, everyone has a set character for them. So not everyone is playing the one single OP character atm. Plus I haven't had the chance to play every character but whenever I fight a new character every match I continously learn something new everytime just by fighting them

@@SpikeTheWolf Forward + MP button is projectile invulnerable, on top of her just being generally very fast. Every character does have safe jump set ups for each character to predict dp, but I can’t help you with that part.

I need to thank Max getting his ass kicked by an Inquisitor in DNF Duel for accidentally teaching me the Inquisitor's ground pickup combo. I picked up Inquisitor as the character that immediately caught my attention when I started playing the game and love her moves, but kept getting rolled, particularly by other Inquisitors, and wasn't realizing what they were doing to keep beating me in the face until I watched it happen to somebody else.

Im so picking us up tomorrow, i was gonna wait till it went on sale cause while i loved the way some of the characters handled in the betas something felt like it was missing. Then between trouble shooter, launcher and swift master ive gotta commit they just look too cool not to try out and each seem to reach the extremes of their respective playstyles which is exactly what I wanted to see. Im also not 100% on the nitty gritty but advancing normals and specials seem to be way more common now which will hopefully help the slower nature of the game in neutral

Why would you grab it so late? Fighting games tend to die off very fast with causal. If you grab it late it tend to be only be flooded with try hards.

They have a really good use of smear frames, though it does make for some funky screenshots. Like Launcher's gatling gun, for example. If you pause it just right, there's a frame where the gun is all bendy, like a flaccid... something.

As a dragon knight player. You got off easy. I've seen her combos do upwards to 50 to 60 percent off of a light confirm.

I don't know if you can get quite to 60 percent off a light without ending with super, but that damage off a medium confirm in the corner is easy for sure. Also, neither one of them even tried to turn her safe jump after 214MP into a mixup, or tried to pull a quick jump-fly-j.A for a quick overhead after getting him to block the dragon. Dragon Knight's one of the few characters with real high-lows in the game, and he got off without even seeing them.

As an Inquisitor main, that was a poor showing. Un-optimized combos, spamming God's Wrath, and literally couldn't even convert what should have been a TOD combo but kept spamming SPIN TO WIN and actually dropped it to lose. That said, great job with the awareness Max! Great vid as always! I hope they add cross-play to this eventually so I can play you on PS4! Shine on, Dood!

As a Dragon Knight main, I felt the same about those Dragon Knights at the start. The first one especially was way over-using the giant sword swing and draining her mana needlessly, and neither one was really doing the good combos. They each tried like, once, but dropped the combo on both occasions. Admittedly the midscreen variant is hard, but there's little excuse for dropping the corner one. And beyond that one try at getting real damage they just did the most bare-bones basic combos in her arsenal. They did at least seem to know about the safe jump, but never even tried to turn it into a mixup. I mean, I guess if this was day 1 against random people on ranked, I get it, but they could've learned much better stuff just by doing the dang combo trials...

Ugh that Inquisitor user was infuriating! Cool that it's actually easy to OTG after God's Wrath (air spinny axe). But my goodness they just scaled the mess out of the damage AND hitstun by repeating it ad nauseum. Nice that they're not relying on Burning Wheel, but seems they substituted one spinning move for another. Welp, I'm stealing the OTG stuff (I knew it did, but thought she had land it closer), and I'll get my Inquisitor into Gold Rank.

I don't believe you can choose where the dragon goes, he just simply flies to wherever the oppent is currently. I normally throw out the light fireball version for dragon then roll to switch sides and apply crazy pressure.
