In this video I will be more relaxed than usual as I will not do any progress on the story. Instead I spend my time landscaping the base area of Furrowfield Farm. In post commentary I will talk about my choices and will also go back to talking some moe about the prolog and original demo of this game.

I personally like these types of videos. These types of videos give you more time to explain that you couldn't or didn't have time to explain during the playthrough, such as sharing some opinions on the original demo for this game. In your playthrough, you mentioned it, but there was more that you wanted to say about it. Hmm. If things start to get backed up and I have something to say, I might do something similar for my playthrough. As for the beginning of this game, both the ship and the Island of Awakening part are meh. They needed to be more something. Things I don't like about the ship are pretty much the whole part. As I was playing it (for my upcoming playthrough), I kept thinking to myself, "Is this really necessary?" all throughout the ship part. So much so that I crack so many jokes during this part because there's really nothing big going on. For me, the Island of Awakening part could have been slightly different. First, get rid of that blueprint on the top of the mountain. What does it do other than further the plot because it has to? Instead, incorporate the blueprint with either improving the shelter you first made or having something to do with Brownbeard. This brings me to another point: Why is Brownbeard chauffeuring you (and Malroth) around the islands for FREE?! Just because? Why did they not combine the Hairy Hermit, Brownbeard, and the first blueprint to create something more meaningful? Such as Brownbeard is shipwreck on the island, and you have to find something that can break harder blocks (the hammer) by finding the Hariy Hermit, who might be following you or not, to see what you're abilities are. Upon discovering the hermit, he doesn't give you the hammer but teaches you how to make one, like Clobberina in the first one. He can give some excuse like this hammer is the only one he has, and it's precious to him. After you get the recipe, head back to base, where you make a blueprint for restoring Brownbeard's ship. Upon completing it, Brownbeard is grateful and offers you a ride around the islands. One good deed deserves another. Not like, well, Brownbeard happens upon the island at the right time when your characters need to go to other islands, and then Brownbeard offers, which blows my mind. Isn't he a merchant? Did he learn anything about taking advantage of the situation? Man, the writers must have been asleep or were asked to tone it down or something because the rest of the game is excellent, but man, that beginning is... I don't have words for it. It almost seems like the developers wanted you to start in Furrowfield and progress from there, but they couldn't find a way to add Lulu, Malroth, and the Hairy Hermit, so they added the ship and Island of Awakening parts. Maybe I'm thinking way too much about this. Also, I noticed early on during my current playthrough that EVERYONE talks WAY too much. Saying that same thing but in different ways. This started on the ship and onto the Island of Awakening part. One character mentions what you have to do, and then one or two other characters go back and forth, saying roughly the same thing until it's agreed upon that what was mentioned first was the correct way to do it. Man, I enjoy fluff dialogue, but sometimes, the characters in this game go on and on and on. I'm interested in seeing what your farm is going to look like after seeing this.
