Well that just sucks for the hero's mother, not only did she lose her husband, but her only child as well in a matter of speaking. It's true her child lived, but the fact there's no way of returning is depressing. She can't even see her eventual grandchildren.

Yeah. Turns out he’s really the first Dragon Quest series Demon Lord Underling to have been human before becoming a monster. Dhoulmagus was just the second Dragon Quest Demon Lord Underling to have been human before becoming a monster, since all the other Underlings after Hargon and Baramos prior to Dhoulmagus are fully monsters.

Yeah, though how a mere mortal corrupts a a divine dragon into a destroyer god still has me scratching my head. Since it’s implied his tampering results in Malroth. Hmmm now this makes me want a fanfic where Malroth (DQ Builders 2) somehow learns of his mother, her fate, and how said fate changed her own high priest Hargon for the worst.

@@matthewsimmons9277assuming they're going based on the Emblem of Roto manga, Hargon's interference results in the Queen's son becoming the Dragonlord, not Malroth. Hargon probably only set his sights on Malroth after his plan to use the dragonlord failed. The thing that doesn't make sense to me is how either of them ended up in Alefgard after the path closed. Either way, It seems like they plan to have a more cohesive narrative across the trilogy, so I'm interested to see where they go with it.

Hargon only shows up in DQ 2 speaking of that IT needs DRACKY/Can't DIE mode nearly everything Cave to Rhone uses the full party kill spell Thwack and unlike your OWN party members when those DQ2 monsters use the spell it pretty much has a 100% chance to kill everybody where as your OWN Thwack spells pretty much NEVER connect. While DQ still has the Seal/STOP Magic spell effect in the Cave to Rhone in DQ2 it almost NEVER works Dracky mode would make it so that you can't DIE even from Thwack spells. But in DQ2 the party member you start with is practically worthless due to no skills/spells usable on HIM that BETTER change with the DQ2 HD/2D remake.

its brand new. also the egg being the Dragonlord is new, though it had been a fan theory for some time that Dragonlord is the son

Just beat the game but the game crashed right before the credits loaded. Used this video to make sure I seen everything and sure enough it was right between "thus were the seeds of salvation sown" and Yuji Horii's name fading in. sasuga work devs

What would have happened if the hero had been female and had worn a Sacred Bikini not the Armor of Light? Will the Armor of Roto in DQ1 be replaced by the Bikini of Roto? Can't imagine the the hero Aleph in DQ1 digging it up from Domdora and putting it on to fight Dragon King.

Correct but the ENGLISH Dragon Ball Dub didn't air unlike like 30+ years later when Toonami Dubbed it like back in 2004 but while Zoma looks NOTHING like Piccolo at all DQ5's FINAL BOSS DOES.

Not really EVER since the SNES remake the game never allows healing spells to HIT the enemy even WITH the Mirror Shield/Mirror armors equipped on the ENTIRE party so that all Magic BOTH attack and Healing get reflected. But unlike Auto Reflect from a Final Fantasy game the Mirror Shield/Armors reflect spells still works when you DIE and all the REVIVE spells ARE reflectable while you can't DIE on Dracky Mode I still find the reflect armors/shields worthless. While DQ3 has the Blade armor reflect PHYSICAL hit damage the Metal Slimes/Liquid metals almost NEVER use physical hits and the Mirror Shield/Armor can't reflect its OWN spells back since their immune to their own.
