4:15 - don't kink shame the pirates. Or hey, maybe they have a little baby pirate they're raising in the family business and took it out a-plundering (take your daughter to work day). Something wholesome, you know? 22:38 - FYI the ocean has secret spots as well, and they look like the rocks you passed at this spot. 31:47 - Clearly he had a hobby, and he spent a lot of time doing it. 42:02 - Okay, just cuz it's you, I found myself saying, "the old man said east, not weast!" 😀

It's funny that the pirates are played up to be cruel and then you find out the truth. So happy for more Dragon Quest from Mage, need some enjoyment to forget things happening today.

It was very annoying in other versions since you had to take the ship to the merchant town as it was not a zoom location, many were not zoom locations like they are in this version.

Thanks for the new video! You've done a lot in this one! ...Oh, the leg warmers that are referring to a joke they can't get outside of Japan! Originally it's called "loose socks", that were so popular with high school girls of the 90s in Japan that they added them to the first remake of this game in 1996. The joke is that the captain of the pirates is still a young girl, having that item in her drawer. At the place you got the iron axe, they actually deleted a cut scene referring to a fairy tail.

11:27 Not all Pirates were 'bad'. Many *did* do the whole Robin Hood thing, or at least the first half of what he did. xD Not all merchant ships were for good people (humanity has been corruptible our entire existence). 12:40 Tonguing? Licking? xD 15:35 Well obviously! One must manually haul the keel of a ship! For some distance I would imagine. And they run the length of the ship, so are quite big! xD (nah... it sucks. good thing the EU banned the practice centuries ago. for good reason!) 49:15 Reminds me of the bathing spots in the old Lunar games! >_< 1:07:20 Oh, good, it just straight up recommends when to revisit. ^_^

when it comes to things like pointlessly locked doors or random teleportals to areas we could zoom to by the time we find them, you need to realise the wizard (and therefore the sage) is busted when it comes to utility. get to a high enough level and you will learn spells for unlocking doors, turning day to night, safely walking over damage tiles, fading from view and more, this means that when you create that high level wizard and start a new adventure they can be hired from patty's palace right at the start of the game and effectively unlock almost the entire map without need of a boat right from the start.

@@magemasher22 Sage learns all spells of both priest and wizard, the downside is that you need a copy of 'words of wisdom' for each sage you wish to reclass except for gadabouts. And the party palace is really useful for challenge runs, you can get high level party members from your other save files but they can't get stronger themselves.

Hey I’m playing this game right now! Currently on the last post game dungeon, and then I’ll be getting the zenithian trilogy on my phone. If there’s any advice I’d say you need, it’s that you should probably change the job class of each of your party members at least once before you take on Baramos since enemies and bosses start getting tough sooner than you think!
