Every time I come back to this soundtrack, I shed a tear at how beautiful these melodies were, along with how the game was not a typical video game, but it felt like a great story you'll find by reading a book. The memories of purchasing this game in the 8th grade and playing this game during a tough time in my life when my parents were going through separation make the experience of playing this game one that I will carry to my deathbed. Dragon Quest 8 is amazing as a game alone, but you really had to have an open heart and allow yourself to be captivated by this world to really experience it. It's truly hard to describe, but I'm sure someone will stumble upon this message and agree this game was an all-time experience.

This track is the reason I teared up when the king of Ascantha saw his wife for the last time. It really helps build the emotion of that part.
