Dragon Quest XI Metal Slime Spawn Location

Just a spot i found that seems to be good to farm some Exp, but there are probably many more spots in the world, i'm a only a few hours in so it works for now.

Been using this for about two hours now, getting slimes that run at the start suck, but a slime running when you're 4 hits deep on it is soul crushing.

I’ve farmed the cactiball things to the west and have run into them with metal slime. Better farm as you can also run into golden cactiball.

The pain of having a metal slime run away, be it a normal slime, bubble slime or slime king... Worst thing that ever happened to me was farming the Vicious Metal Slime Kings in the very late section of the game and got five hits deep... Then he... And then... He... Jesus, this is tough... The Vicious Metal Slime King ran away...

Agreed lol, spending so much time just trying to get them to spawn and then to just have them running away makes me wanna rage lol, Dragon Quest 12: The Flames of Fate should be out some time soon I hope 😀

If you do Erik's Critical Claim ability, it's a guaranteed critical hit and generally kills all metal enemies in one hit (assuming you're already leveled up enough). If you want to be extra sure, you can use his Divide ability first and then deliver 3 critical hits. Jade also has an ability that lands a critical hit 75% of the time. In other words, you don't have to try to kill metal enemies by doing several turns of normal attacks.

I was looking for a low level spawn area for metal slimes but couldn't find one... Perhaps add low level or part 1 area to the title

I am REALLY late, but I highly reccomend South of Gallopolis. The cactiballs there spawn golden globes and sometimes metal slimes. It's a good exp and gold farm.

Going to the mangle grove whale station and going for the act 3 muddy hands lands you hardy hands quite a lot . I’d say that’s better

Yeah, the spawn locations get better and better the more you proceed in the game, been a few years since I played but there are some good spots with lots of King metal slimes. If I remember right Sylvando has a ability to change enemies into King metal slimes.

the north east island i encounter 3 to 5 metal slime if you preemptive strike the normal slime near the area where you found the stone and on that same island i encounter liquid metal slime if i strike the king slime only on nights ( not sure if liquid metal only appear at night time because i only see them with king slime at night and no appearance with king slime in morning)

I had more luck finding metal slimes in the cave underneath octagonia. Up to 3 spawn whenever fighting zombies

Can find liquid metal slimes in the mural painting world by fighting wooden mannikens and currently trying to find vicious metal slimes which are a stronger varient in this game that give more than a liquid metal

Vicious varient is alot more, vicious metal King gives 161k normal metal king is 70k so vicious slime then vicious liquid are on my find list first lol hope u can make a vid of places u find them in clips as my ps4 share skills is not the best.

i found some vicious metal slime if i encounter the vicious lantern around the area where the mc and erik awoke at the church (you know the church after they make big jump together to escape from the soldiers)

Spoiler don't continue reading past this. After u finish act one after beating mordegon final form etc u can go back in time. Slimes again give increased exp when fought I got 60k from a liquid slime at the first forest after getting everyone's skills and levels back via story continuing to act 2

Once you find a location where they spawn just run around for awhile and they should just keep spawning every few mins. :)

its very early in the game, i was getting metals slime to pop about every 3-5 mins or so, they may have change it with on going game updates

I'm playing definitive edition on switch and the rate they described seems consistent with my experience haven't seen two in one battle yet, but I've also not had any run, and I'm getting encounters right about the same timeframe.
