I beelined straight for the quests to stop the fog, thinking I could roam there forever. I was wrong. I slept a bunch of times to dupe items for the forger, not realizing I was wasting rests. Eventually you can't rest anymore, and I realized my mistake lol. The forger in the post game was a trap for me. Who just sits there and waits naturally for your forgeries? I don't xD

Haven't tried yet but I wonder if the days do actually still pass and everything or if not. Truth be told I have tried finding many other endings or quest outcomes but most of it all boils down into the same thing.
@joaopedrofonseca47397 ай бұрын
After the time ends the engame ends too? Or you just can't sleep but still explore and do missions and stuff? Do the fog really kills the cities when the time passes? Or it's a fake thing?
@calyxatlas7 ай бұрын
the thing that confused me was i saw talk online of parts of the map disappearing each day, and it did look like the northernmost area was gone for me, but then the map stayed the same the rest of endgame - I was able to finish everything and the map never changed. Pawns mentioned something about "slowing the red mist" but I couldn't tell if I was doing something to slow it
@Zappieroth7 ай бұрын
North area/Melve is part of the narrative it will always be gone in the end game. That is how the game is trying to tell you to 'get the fuck to it' xD It just does it very loosely as with everything else, So I think most people miss it on their first playthrough, I did as well.

@@Zappieroth gotcha, the misinformation went kind of crazy for endgame stuff. I saw someone say you couldn't save at all during it but I checked immediately and still could lol

Thanks for this! How much does the difficulty increase? Does this occur before the option for NG+?
@Zappieroth7 ай бұрын
You are forced into NG+ after the credits. This occurs before NG+, Just like the first game the 'ending' isn't the 'real' ending. The difficulty doesn't change much actually. But you'll be more hard pressed as there is more Drakes and other enemies of similair calibur.

When does the end game sequence happen? Which questline and what is it called? The main quest line? I just heard in order to do the end game you need to do the true ending with the godsbane dagger or whatever stabbing the Gregory in the heart.
@azraelangelusmortis24277 ай бұрын
The final mission name you will see is the guardian gigantus. When you get stopped by a person who says to take a nap at the inn, do it The actual final mission is legacy where you start the very end sequence Now for spoilers. Don't go down if you don't want to see . After beating the dragon and final cutscene plays you're in the throne room while credits play. Sit down on the throne and you'll beat the game once credits end This takes you to the main menu. Go to reload last save (not the inn save) and it takes tou back to the throne room Talk to the ghost guy at the table and then in the middle of the room. He sends tou back to when you're on the dragon's back. Move down to its heart and use the godsbane on yourself and it plunges you into the endgame

great video, thanks you for clarifying how the endgame works, I have questions about ng+ regarding the map, am I supposed to have the full map revealed like I explored everything but the minimap not? surely this is a bug, if you or anyone encounters this I would like to know because I find this extremely confusing and annoying
@dangarcia16177 ай бұрын
I think its done that way so you can see entire map but you still have the mini map parts that you have uncovered not shown so you know what you are missing a little easier
@Zappieroth7 ай бұрын
Probably also on purpose, But yes that is the same for me. It is probably to make it harder to find all the places you haven't been yet, Cus now you can't rely on the black areas anymore. I see it more as a way to spend more time in the game but I can see how some people would find it a bit annoying.

Would of been a ok endgame if there wasn’t a crappy time limit
@Zappieroth7 ай бұрын
Nah, The only way it would had been okay is if the spawns where dynamic and more numerous like during the pre-post game story. The real post game probably comes in the form of an update or Expansion. We already know one is coming...... Or at the very least the one everyone assumes is fake I think is very much real. But unless you played Dragon's Dogma Online you wouldn't be able to tell from the story told in DD2.
@contingentcat56907 ай бұрын
There is no time limit if you do it properly and when you're done, you are able to free roam in the endgame without ever having the brine approach or take up any of the map.
@PilotGuava7 ай бұрын
In terms of actually spending time in the post game and exploring, yeah. But I actually really enjoyed the post game. I really love the “countdown to the end of ____” trope in games, wether it be Majoras mask or this. It makes you consider where to go and what to do a lot more than you otherwise would. Beyond that, story wise I think that it’s also really cool. Your universe is coming to an end by your own hand and you need to race against the powers that be to save what you can. As a final little note, I will say that by the time I’d evacuated all of the cities and dealt with all of the beacons aside for the last one, the fog had only encroached slightly on the volcanic island, the sacred arbor, and the nameless village. You have a lot of time on your hands to do things outside of what’s mandatory.
@Dxwill107 ай бұрын
@@contingentcat5690 That's not true. You can only rest ~12 times. After that, you can't rest, so no rest save, which means you're on a clock.

I don’t think it’s the real endgame when it actually ends
@Zappieroth7 ай бұрын
It's not, We will get the real end game later. From the way the game is set up it seems we may be able to play through the game after the ending of the base game. But we will see.
