4:55 Blades of the Pyre is insane. It's the craziest thing in the game and it's not even close. You can spam it during Formless Feint without taking any damage. It destroys everything in the game and doesn't even take that much stamina. You basically become an invincible walking bomb that explodes everything around and can't take damage from anything at all. It's game-breaking.

important note: If you have missed to get these skills at the time you were supposed to talk to the npc there is an easy fix. go to history then find that npc and see what they like ex. Fancy items etc. then go to that npc talk to him and press give gift and gift them them a thing which comes into that category then doze off for one day come again and repeat after like 4 times the npc will approach you and give you the teaching !

I got the courtesy attire for free for helping Sven when i first got to Vernworth. Edit: to be specific I directed the guard away and then bought him the box he was trying to buy. There was then a quest to speak with him at the fountain for a few days and he gifts you stuff every day, the attire being one of the gifts.

​@isaacdayton4962 Way way better at personal survivability than Mystic Spearhand. Spearhand does have the nice perks of both protecting your pawns and not interrupting you when attacked, but if you just want your own hp to not go down Formless Feint is the best way to do so period.

For the sorcerer quest (Myrddin) people not getting the spell after giving him real or fakes, I think your affection to him is important (must be high enough) for him to give you the spell. The video didn't mention it but yeah, fakes or not wouldn't matter u just need high enough affinity. Give him gifts and do an escort quest for him and then he will give the spell :) Edit: Another tip - he likes spellbooks so giving him that will accelerate the process!

@@deeross2170 You can get the “Nation’s Death Knell” from either the Waterfall cave east of the borderwatch outpost or the Ancient battlegrounds Northeast of the Checkpoint rest town. Howling Blizzard can also be found in waterfall cave,alternatively you can get it from Wendy in the nameless village( I’d avoid getting it this way because you will be forced to abandon the quest because the collection will be incomplete)

If you use the ballista and kill the drake, he’ll give you the MS scroll right there. Pretty sure the drake’s death is the trigger, not quest/liking you. Either that, or killing it just maxes the affinity.

So I noticed a lot of people wore having trouble getting lennart to give you the skill i failed to kill dragon first try in malve, idk if that triggers it and I did all of his daughters quest and reunited them in harve village and still wasn’t giving me anything I even gave him a bunch of stuff to raise my affinity with him( flowers,eternal bond ring, jasper) and still nothing so I decided to camp just outside the village and waited till nightfall to see if that might be the case and went back to him and finally he came up to me asking to escort him to some place. Just do it and he’ll reward you some stuff, but you gotta go back to the village and than he’ll finally give you the skill

Feel like they have to have enough affinity with you as well. If they don't get maxed out from the quest you have to do an escort mission for them. I am having this issue with Eini (mage) and Beren (warrior). I just got the escort mission for Beren but accidently denied it. Going to see if giving him gifts and resting will work as well.

SOOOOO, if you aren't aware, there is a Ballistae in Melve, climb the tower during the dragon attack turn the Ballistae toward the dragon and shoot it, then aim upward while cranking up the next shot. Who the dragon as it gets ready to fly and you have slain your first dragon. You get the Maister skill for Mystic Spear hand for killing the dragon, the Maister skill for Fighter, and from the dragon's body you get Dead Ringer a late game weapon for the Spearhand. Now go Arisen and spin blades all over the back sides and faces of your foes.

For the courtly out, there are multiple sets. 2 sets are in vernworth, one set in castle guestrooms as u pointed, another in a building near the castle. And another set by doing svens quest when he is disguised a beggar BEFORE meeting him in castle

You do not require rearmament to play the warfarer. You can swap your weapons in menu even in combat with the class. It streamlines it if that's the way you'd like to play it but it's not a requirement.

For so Sigurd not giving the hidden skill, go find him in his house at harve village, talk to him, there's a button say "Give gift" at the bottom right corner. Give him something and he will give you the wild furie.

I got a friend who mains thief. Both skills you get from both thief masters are useful when paired together. One has you smack your daggers together causing a big spark (explosion) dealing damage to both enemies AND you while the 2nd skill has you dodge ALL damage. @@warrgoddess8029Circling back to this post, I went back down to talk to her again and she asked me to do a quest where I escort here somewhere. After that, she disappeared. I then walked back to her house a THIRD time, and she gave me the skill. It's all based on affinity I think and if you build it up with her by doing stuff for her or giving gifts, she will give it to you. Prob true of all maisters... To save yourself some time, just put a portcrystal at her house before you escort her.

Lennart did not teach me anything. I repelled the dragon the second time i went back to melve same as the video. At the point I am at I am in the mid 20s in level and my fighter vocation is maxed, ive done everything involving melve, ulrika, harve, and the melve folk going to harve and he STILL wont teach me it. I've given him tons of items and he says the same 2 voice lines over and over again and walks away and completely ignores me. No idea what im doing wrong. *update* he randomly decided now was the time to proc the quest from giving him gifts so im sure ill get the move soon.

For the archer quest I can confirm you can also complete this as a mystic archer. I didn't have archer even unlocked and I was currently in mystic archer vocation. Did everything and got the heavenly shot ability.

For the attire you can also do Sven quest in the market square. He wants to buy a ornate box or chest, if you did the quest for the little girl in Melve standing right outside the store, her father I think will offer a discount on all items in the shop. If you haven't done the quest in Melve he will ask you to go check on his daughter after which you can buy the box for full price. Give the box to Sven and he will say he will repay you, he will met you at the fountain in a few days time so either go to sleep at your house or inn, or wait at bench till he shows up. Do this two or three times as he wants to met with you a few times and he will flat out give you the attire. Serious DO NOT WASTE GOLD BUYING THIS ATTIRE, they want you to have it and are literally just handing it out lol.

For anyone stuck on a tough enemy, just use magic archer’s Martyr bolt till you’re about 1-5% (as close as you can get it) hp Don’t go overboard because the skill can and will kill you if you hold it too long But the martyr shot will literally one shot anything in the game Haven’t met anything that has lived it fully charged yet

When you said i needed spellbooks, i almost had a fkn heartattack, cause i've been selling every single one i've been getting, i never used them in DD1, nor shall i use them in DD2. Thankfully, the 3 books mentioned is in an area/house i have not even explored yet.

For the Archers Secret teachings i didnt need to do the whole quest line. I went to “Sacred Arbor” Gifted Taliesin 1 Wyrmlife Crystal sat down on the bench for 5 rests and was about to give him another Wyrmlife crystal when he gave me the archers skill (This can be done early in the game before you ever have to save his daughter from the Giant)

Killed the drake and never infested in fighter only unlocked it, was thief rank 5 or 6 and got mystic spearhand plus the master scroll at the same time. Fighter master skill was the same, never infested in it but i suddenly got it from Lennart, i was like bro, what the hell?! moments later when i got the master skill for spearhand as well. Edit: you also get the courly attire from sven when doing his quest with the ornate box.

Okay I'm super late but I have a question, after I unlocked both Magik Archer and Warfare. I left the volcanic islands and went to BakkBattal. The Warfare Maister came up to me and asked me to accompany him on an adventure but I said no because I was tired, then I thought maybe it could lead to some good loot or even a secret skill so I chased him down and spoke to him again but he didn't give me the side quest opportunity again. I was able to uss the master technique scroll without unlocking the vocation myself. My main pawn was a fighter and i was a mage at the time. I used thescroll andit gave us both the techinique. Cant use the scroll on the pawn only yourself.

so, while exploring yesterday (had a heart attack when I stumbled into a drake) I came across a village where one of the npcs wants the Fulminous Shield tome in exchange for I think a blizzard tome? does that lead anywhere? a trap that will make you fail both quests?

Warning- makes sure you have a save before the Sigurd fight for mystic spearhand. He ended up getting throw off a cliff or me and I'm 90% sure he's dead, and I don't know if his body ended up back in Bahatahl city or not On a fun note, the medusa is nearby so if you can beat her and cut off her head you can use that to cheese the dragon

Her grandma gives the mage spell. Little girl gives a sorc and her dad the other sorc spell

For the Archer Maister i need to give some gifts to a hot elf around, other stuff that i think matters is the girl we saved was asleep then after a while she awake, the old dude got happy and talked to me, he said something about me wanting to sit on the throne and then gave me the skill.

None of the stuff said about the warrior part happened to me, yes I found him, yes i fought him(and lost because he knocked me out of the ring), followed him has the quest said to do and then Nothing

I completed the magic archer's quest, she gave me the Spellbow's Paradox, but it is not in my inventory. Is it a bug? How can I get that? 😢

For the Mystic Spearhand skill, i went and killed the dragon but I lost Sigurd while exploring the ruins. So I had to fight the dragon without him and I can't find him anymore to get the skill...

I have a similar problem. I didn’t so much “lose” him, as he got thrown into oblivion during the fight 😅 I didn’t think about checking if he’d show up in a morgue and it’s been MANY in-game days and I can’t find him. Do I just have to wait for ng+?

@bixelator1561 In my case he was back at Havre village. I don't know if he is considered as "essential" and thus stays alive

Beren wont give me the skill he just gave me flowers and asked if i can escort him to a marked place . i did that and now he is gone . or does somebody know where his location is now ?

I wonder how long until people realize you can just dodge the flames of the pyre explosion. You don’t even need the master skill. Just hit the dodge button as it explodes and you avoid it.

I killed the dragon but sigund was flown away by the dragon during the fight and I didn’t get the skill after I defeated him. Any other options to get the skill?

i find it hilarious that the most master* skill for warrior is literally the first one you get,uppercut a cyclops, snipe a dragon heart, get that pesky harpy down from the sky. skyward sunder does it all

So I went to Beren's house, i talked to him & his recruit no skill. I talk to him again, it's an escort quest, I denied it b/cuz I wanted to explore Battahl. Now, I've waited on a bench for 2 weeks in game time & Beren is nowhere to be seen...Any tips?
