Elemental affinity in the first game was a buff applied by a mage or mage pawn. So all elements are probably buffed onto the player in the gameplay.

It’s gonna feel really weird not having my daggers on this one. And unlike the regular archer vocation magic archer doesn’t seem to have the kick move. I think I’m gonna go wayfarer to fill the void even though I’m pretty sure you’ll have to unlock every vocation before getting it.

Nice guide. Hopefully more fleshed out once the game comes out. I think this game will be a gem, hopefully, capcom does better marketing. If people didn't play the first game the gameplay looks like it's kinda slow.

Arent you mistaking the basic or core skills for activated skills? The seeker shots you pointed out was an activated skill in dd1

It's a guess, I'm not denying that, but there's precedent for skill in dd1 being mapped as core skills. We saw this with Anodyne being mapped as the "heavy attack" for the Mage vocation for example.

nope, that multi targeting light arrows was a skill from dd1, it's common mistake since no one used that finicky skill. the reason was that it was very situational, not just for mainly working on large groups of weak mobs, by setting up to 10 shots to target enemies, but the fact that if you had fewer targets than the arrow number those extra shots were wasted unless you were absurdly lucky so they hit something. many large creatures would only have maybe 3 spots it would target at most so this skill was shit. i guess, long shot, if he is right a trash skill will be a standard action but they may have also heard us on that and given enemies more targets. seriously, this made no sense since many enemies would have more spots to aim for on some sorcerer spells like gicil that the hunter bolt, i think it was called, would not track. the charges on each spot proves that they are fixing this, as i said, in dd1 it was 1 arrow for each target only. still seams like it's a spell if that much effort went into the rework. yep, there was aslo the multi shot ice move that hit an enemy with a single arrow first and the other arrows would follow where that lead arrow hit, it was one of the best skills the vocation had. yeah having to hit the explosive with a melee attack was annoying against certain enemies.
