It's a 4 year old architecture and a low-end chip of said architecture(207mm^2 cut down from 237mm^2), what do you expect? Wanna check how the HD X1600 XT was doing in 2009-2010? Couldn't run anything. The HD 6750 in 2014 anyone? Or the R9 270 in 2017?

@@ermutanda3802 Poor optimization or not, you can't expect hardware that is weaker than the consoles to run games that came 4 years after the consoles great. The only time that happened was 2016-2020, because there was barely any improvement in GPUs and the consoles were getting very old(PS4/Xbox One) while also being very underpowered at launch.

@@ivankovachev8835Keep in mind that the ryzen equivalent in terms of graphics performance is the 6600 XT. The 6600s relative performance to the 6600 XT is about 15% slower. It IS a fair chunk of less performance, but should totally be capable to run modern games on Medium at least. I know that you can't really compare the Ps5s graphical capability with it's shared ram/vram with a standalone card perfectly, but what i saw from Digital Foundrys graphics analasys on Alan Wake 2 on the Ps5 and on PC it definetly is a matter of optimization to have mid to low range hardware run games at an acceptable graphical fidelity. Hell, look at a graphics comparison between Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops 3 and tell me which one looks more appealing to you.

They still can run a lot of game no problem until 2022 which is the start of dev doing shitty optimization. And what the hell do you mean "weaker" than the console. PS5 GPU is just like an RX6600 or RTX3060 8GB version, can't even reach 3060 12GB. Lmao and you thought GPU is developing fast from 2020 onward? FUCK NO. RTX 4060 raw peformance is just like an 3060, it is only better with Frame Generation (which looks kinda fcking bad and not smooth at all), an RTX 3060 Ti would beat the shit out of the 4060 lol. They are just milking it at this point. 1 more point. Dragon Dogma is destroying CPU and bottleneck a 7800x3D pair with 4090. This game is just badly optimized bro, your point aint worth shit. Thousands of people are complaining about the performance and you are here defending it? On the steam page it said the minimum is 1070 and a fucking 5500 to do the minimum and recommend 6700 or 2080. RX6600 is in the middle so why the fck do you think the card is the thing to blame here? If everyone have to buy a $500 graphics card to do the bare minimum then the video games industry is dead. Just use your brain to think for a second.

Hi, i am plaining to upgrate from the gtx 1660 normal version to the rx 6600, i have a r5 3600x is it gonna be a good upgrade? also i got it doing a trade of giving my 1660 and 70 dollars (here in my country the rx is at 616 dollars and the rx was used only on a church idk why haha)

It's definitely gonna be a lot better but not future proof. Can run all games (Prob not Alan Wake 2) but will fail to run upcoming 2024-2025 games quite smoothly. Rather get a 3080 ti if u have the cash or RX 70 series.

In GPU-intensive areas, you may do well if you pair it with a processor that doesn't cause bottleneck, with a 5500 it dropped to 45fps and then stabilized at around 53fps. (6600 XT, on Low) In areas where the CPU is intensive, you will have a lot of bottleneck, causing the game to run at about 40fps or less. (R5 5500 on Low, I didn't try with an R5 5600g but it will have to go at about 45fps or 50fps at most) The 6600xt may do well on Low but without a good processor at your side, you will not have stable 60fps, since the problem with the game is not the graphics, but the bottleneck problem it has. With an RX 6700 I already saw improvements and it maintains stable fps in intensive areas for the GPU. For CPU areas I saw more stability with a Ryzen 5700x although I recommend a 5800x more. You could play at a stable 30fps, but more than that you will see problems in the long run. I recommend that you wait for Capcom to release patches to solve the performance problems, unless you want to play it at 30fps.

Could be wrong but i think games measure how much "free" vram is left to use. Maybe the rest is distributed all across the system , background activities or the very recording software being used. I might be wrong tho.

No, he changed presets from highest to lowest and it had 0 impact on performance. Although ryzen 3600 is cpu for recommended settings. So they expect to have 60 fps in 1080p with this cpu. The game just poorly optimized and people struggle with higher rig
