Something about seeing your pawn play a big part in the ending after spending 100 hours with them made me tear up a lil bit. I wasnt expecting such a ending. This game will be my favorite for a while.

10:45 Something is missing here. In my game, the shadow-dragon momentarily transformed back into the shape of the pawn, it's humanoid shape and not shadow-dragon shape. The speech was a lot more personal and heartfelt, too.

Happened to me too. Luckily I recorded it The exact lines were "You have given me a gift beyond measure: a fledgling will that burns within my breast" "Yet for your sake, I would fain relinquish all I have--" "All that I am" "Master!" And then she got grabbed and threw away same as in the video. Not sure if this depends on their base personality/ their relationship point or sth but it's pretty cool it leads to different cutscene even if it's just a small change (Still I prefer the ending in DD1 where you sacrifice yourself, giving your body and freedom to your pawn)

@@Korwies It depends on your affinity with the pawn. If you gave them a drink at the bar enough times for example. Maybe not letting them get killed? Treating them like people? Don't know for sure how affinity increases. But it's like the romance system almost.

just so people know, if you help the main characters and do most of the quests related to people, it will show up in the ending credits. This person didn't do Sven, the elves, etc special quests....to open up the unique cut scenes

Did you know Talos Stormcrown actually used a Golem called "Numidium" to destroy the high elves armies in the summer set isles to conquer the rest of Tamriel Its like a thousand feet tall and can warp reality. It was not until Zuren Arctis (Talos's Imperial Battlemage) who used his magic to destroy it creating a giant crater... I found it interesting cause there is a giant Golum in DD2 named Talos and Talos in Elder Scrolls used a Golum to destroy everything, pretty cool, though I'm sure there is a real life statue called Talos which inspired these two

Feel good knowing that you helped give the world its own future, free from the the cycle of the dragon. And if you did all the side quests, the world is in a much better place with a greater chance of cooperation in the future too. Also is other said the ending is very vague on whether or not you actually died, the true ending in the first game is pretty clear that you're gone (although you give your body to your pawn so you're technically still there), so there's a chance for some epilogue DLC or extended ending in the future.

And Sven will be sitting on the Throne of Vermund too, this video shown that this Arisen probably had High Affinity with Sven (hence to why he looked into the Ocean) I think the only ending that might get a DLC could be the Good Ending. It feels odd that you simply sit on the Throne and the screen turns to Black, like something is missing there or there is room for expansion. Like Now there is no Reason to sit on the Throne and Skip the UnMoored World but it still is classified as the 'Good' Ending. EDIT: yes, you bring Peace to the World without ending the Cycle... But that ending has like no cinematics or anything. The Bad ending where u walk away and sit on the Throne where your character shows clear signs of guilt and failure is already more then the Good Ending.

@givenofuckz2313 it's affinity based, so doing quests for him and doing the escort missions skyrockets his affinity. Because he has so many individual quests, he's probably gonna be your highest affinity person unless you gift others

@@Shishiooo i already saw the ending, what i want is something everfall adjacent. the fact that getting to the dragon was hardly a fight just a brisk jog and an elevator away was also pretty disappointing. i didnt want an inferior version of the cults last stand then the dragon fight immediately after. atleast the edgy cult guy summoned two wights for us to fight but in this we just got a group of weak nobodies after a fight with a guy you can easily stagger once and throw off the edge. i liked the game but i really wanted to fight someone elses arisen, without that all we have is pawns, which is nice but lackluster to me.

The Npc’s have too be the same, all we’ve done at the end is: #1 break the cycle because we think it’s the right thing to do - then #2: reverse breaking the cycle as it will literally result in the whole world ending and it won’t be fix’able if we let it happen - to summarise we’re kind of lead to believe the Watcher is a bad guy who wants to keep everyone in the eternal cycle for reasons that benefit him, but he’s the only one that actually knows without the cycle nothing can exist - hope that’s explained it

I honestly feel like getting dragonsplague and killing everyone in vernworth in the beginning of my playthrough killed the game for me . I missed out on a lot of sidequests and a bunch of experiences im watching others have because i didnt know which npcs to use my wakestones on to revive. This game wouldve been so much better without dragonsplague imo. Just beat the game after 65 hours

It kind of follows the same formula as Dark Arisen. The Arisen and their Pawn "become one" through both gameplay and story. This time, however it's not as brief and "in your face" as the first one though.

@@Bahamut3525 It isn't really connected to the first game by that much except for nostalgic reference when you reach the Seafloor Shrine and the unmoored world. You can jump into the second game since you won't miss much. Though I highly recommend playing Dark Arisen. It's a good game and for now, is better than 2 in some ways.

Huh, during my ending my at around 11:06 my pawn Waluigi appeared in his human form by the dragons heart while thanking me before becoming the blood dragon again and getting tossed away. Wonder why the difference is. His dialogue was a bit more endearing than the one in this video, he has the male straightforward voice and he seemed to be more thankful of our journey together than anything.

Apparently there's a hidden affinity system for pawns, and when it's maxed, you get your pawn turning into their basic form and that cute dialogue. Congrats bro you were a good arisen to your pawn.

Huh seems pretty neat. I never let him bleed out when downed and he only died twice, from him randomly cannonballing into the brine. Dunno what else would boost the affinity really, I did instantly go to him in the hell world as well before anything else.

@@Morgan-uf4cm Yeah, Small things help raise affinity, Drinks at the bar, Talking to them at camp, Changing their Hair/Makeup/etc at the Stylist, High fives/Fist bumps after a fight, and picking them up if they go down during a fight. One thing that probably helped is that I only ever intentionally brined my pawn twice due to them being in the final stages of Dragon's plague, I'm guessing besides the haircuts, you probably did all these semi-regularly.

This happened to me last night. I died about six times in a row during the ending credits while on the Dragon's wing. You know the part where you have to start running because the Brine (the tentacle blobby things) are on the wing and are coming at you? The mistakes I originally made was the I wasn't pushing the analog stick completely fully forward in a consistent manner and during the scene where the camera focuses on the dragon's face getting ready to breathe fire, I made the mistake of not running thinking it was a pure cutscene. Even when the camera isn't on your character and is on the Dragon's face, you MUST CONTINUE TO RUN (keep pushing that analog stick and do NOT stop running) because that's NOT a cutscene, that'a just a camera change designed to trick the player. The only time you stop is when the fires comes out and you have to hide behind one of the Dragon's "spikes" so you don't get burned (getting burned can also kill you). Then once the fire starts to go away, IMMEDIATELY start running again, non stop. That's how I stopped dying. But before that I died about 6 times (may have been more than that) . If you die, reload and try again (t starts you off at the wing during the ending credits), do NOT pick the "give up" option. Refuse to give up.

Dragon dogma 1 ending is far better and make sense. Even the lyrics of the song coils of light said “ finish the cycle of eternal return “ because the dragon is the result of arisen being failed of beating the seneschal. We finish the cycle by becoming a seneschal and kill ourself with godsbane blade

I have finally finished Dragon's Dogma 2! it took me almost 100 hours, but it is done. it was a great game I had a lot of fun with it, but like the first one as much as I like it, the story and characters just doesn't click for me (as much as I do love the true ending with the red sky and dark atmosphere) other than those it was a great experience to see this series again and I cannot wait what Capcom will do in the future with the franchise.😆👍

If you talk to the old man, a former Arisen, he'll mention that he's pissed because the Brine devours anything attempting to go out to sea. He says it's not fair and it's his right to go out and die on the open water if that's what he really wants because it wouldn't hurt anybody. After beating the game the Brine is gone, meaning that he's finally free to set sail like he always wanted.

@@thanashs Yeah, there is an old man in this game who dropped lore about a legendary figure who "descended" from heaven to live among mortals and found a kingdom. If that is so, that means Seneschal does exist in this world. Probably will be addressed in the eventual DLC.

@@thanashs Wouldnt that make Rothais the Main Pawn of a Game 1 Arisen? Remember the Cutscene at the End, when you became God (Watcher?) and use the Godsbane Blade. Your Pawn falls from the Sky and his Body changes into yours. Otherwise, after killing the Dragon, Rothais would have become God or the next Dragon.

During the after fight with the dragon, speak to the hooded figure at the party. It will send you back to when you are on the dragon. Climb to chest use the godsbane. During post game you have to save all the towns. Main city, elf, dessert, lava cliff. I also beat the 2 super bosses but unsure if you need to. Then you also need to do talos cutscene. After that go back to sunken keep and cutscene will play. Done

I got a glitch trying to do the true ending the guy at harve village** won't trigger the evacuation for me because he's stuck saying the same thing from the cape quest making the ending impossible to do because the town won't evacuate. what sucks even more is that i can't restart the game or load up a save because capcom choose to do a stupid single save. Dragons dogam 2 is unplayable now. I can't play the game because its been save locked into this one ending

U can’t evacuate melve they literally tell u it’s already been attacked by a dragon. U only need to evacuate vermund bakbhatal and elf town. TBH I’m not even sure that’s required just go fight all the big red sky lasers and then the last one will pop up where everyone gathers after evac

The NPCs tell you that Melve was the first to be destroyed. You can't evacuate it because it's lost already. You only need to evacuate Vernworth, Sacred Arbor, Bakbattahl, Volcanic Island Camp, and Excavation Site

@@albertssoup No prob, after you evacuate you need to rest for the NPCs to appear at the safe zone, but the true end is timed and you only have a set number of days to complete it so I'd recommend evacuating as many places as you can before you rest a bunch. I think you only have 5-7 days to complete everything

So far, it is proven that in DD2, the arisen takes would have a same title as Savan. In DD1, Savan was a soldier. Our arisen in DD1 was a fisherman. If you watched other people's playthrough in youtube, the arisen started out fighting the dragon along with the rest of the Gran Soren soldiers. That dragon had blew fire on 1 Gran Soren soldier and then scratch 1 soldier therefore, that soldier becomes an arisen just like Savan in DD1. The only difference is that soldier in DD2 got promoted and became a ruler once that soldier becomes an arisen. They call that arisen Sovran. Sovran is a similar title just like The Duke.

DD 1 Seneschal made sense. He tests mankind's courage and valor (whoever stands against a dragon, the bargain where the arisen chose to fight, the Everfall...) so if it comes to being replaced, he is replaced by a great. Cant make up what that blue eye jerk is and want tho, the story was a mess despite the interesting build up to dethrone Disa, which led to nothing
