I thought the gameplay was great but I had to stop playing. No fast travel and fighting the same 3 enemies every minute while walking on the path got old quick.

Yeah that’s fair the first game was only bearable because of the eternal ferry Stone and The bitter black isle shaking up some gameplay. This is double true on hard mode. you get one shoted as a mage constantly

I preordered this not to mention already having 2 copies of the original! Def feels more like a remake tho.. I will probably be putting more hours into it in around the summer.. Right now Unicorn Overlord seemingly came from out of nowhere and has me a little distracted

One of these days I'll play the Dark Arisen game I bought cheap on a Steam Sale, and then I'll be ready for the sequel... and hopefully by then, it will have been patched and perhaps gotten the equivalent of the Dark Arisen expansion, so I'll get the best version of the game as well. One can hope.

Thanks for the review of this. I also have it via pre-ordered deluxe version twice (PC & PS5) to compare differences, but yes same story almost as another said earlier: I have my hands full due to going on PSO2NGS (both, but mostly the real one) and on release time of DD2 here, so did Rise of the Ronin which had me hooked a while until after the end then its Midnight hell difficulty and catches of Multiplayer limited to only missions kind of was a letdown. I'll be getting into it a bit more soon enough if I could get a better PC again (I lost my last new one because it didn't run games well for a "Gaming Desktop"...) but if the process is too slow I'll eventually get on it anyway. I kind of stopped as well on a single note: the random Pawns showing up kind of forced their way into the party at random which kind of threw me off-course at times... X'D

Game looks interesting but I don't think I'll be buying soon. Too many games to play!
