Supposedly this series will have themes surrounding the 7 Deadly Sins. I noticed some correlation to that here 0:19 Gluttony 0:41 Greed 0:46 Lust I can't interpret the others though, lmao. Next is monsters from the game: 0:57 Cyclops mouth and tusks 0:59 Griffin's wings 1:03 Hydra's necks 1:10 Cockatrice's talons 1:06 genuinely can't tell - the only other major monster would be a chimera, but whatever is depicted here doesn't look like a part of a chimera. A golem perhaps? Overall the opening looks nice and is definitely hinting at / foreshadowing things we'll see in the show. Very excited and I hope it's good. And of course, Grigori / the Dragon at the end.

Not to be a stick in the mud, but I noticed after the first Netflix Daredevil season a lot of shows took on this style of intro credits. I’m not saying it was the first, but it seems to be a style Netflix originals have taken on in recent years.

After that it seemed every show paid particular interest to not only the opening sequence, but to the theme (even if the rest of the soundtrack was trash).

@@alb0zfinest True, Game of Thrones came to mind, but even theirs was different in the way it was a fairly interactive in changing the map of Westoros and newly revealed territories each season as they evolved and changed heads of power. I was just thinking of the Netflix Originals who have taken on that waxy dripping cgi animations with an underlying music track that is a bit melodramatic in it’s pace and key choice.

After watching most of season 1 I can say that shit wouldn't fit at all. Game was lighter in tone for the most part and was focused on the spirit of adventure a lot more. This anime is Castlevania or Beserk levels of dark with a protagonist increasingly losing his humanity being consumed by rage and vengeance.

I expected a terrible rendition, but as a player I recognised a lot of the game's features, such as the monsters, the lore, the creatures, the spells and classes. Animation's waay better than Berserk, maybe I'd have made the monster full cell shading. My main criticism is that it's too short and feels too fast paced. It would have benefited from more episodes or a bigger runtime. Still, I liked it!

this was pretty good on my opinion, also the composer from the opening is the same one who did the game's ost, the thing is that he wanted to make the music hit differently. in sort, he wanted to make people feel like this: " This is Dragon dogma, but its not the same Dragon dogma as your game". the trumpets part, its the one who hits this part the most this phrase for me.
