I don't know, Dragon's Grip has such a long cooldown, is it really worth running Overcharge with it? You already get notified by DG. That measly bit of progress lost from Overcharge doesn't really compare with Pop goes the weasel or Ruin (at least in my opinion). Unless you make a dedicated Gen-kicker-build.

Overcharge has an additional 5% added penality for failed skillchecks which combined with the standard penality for missed skillchecks is 15%. So using Dragon's grip with PGTW and Overcharge on a gen, in the best case scenario means a possible regression of >40% (25% PGTW+ 15% Overcharge). And even if Dragon's grip is on cooldown, you might not get an expose value, but you will most likely get some usage out of PGTW+Overcharge.

Dragons grip works will in impossible skill check builds, dragons grip screams cause people to instantly let go of gens, often before overcharge starts, guaranteeing they fail the check, exposed makes it so much faster for Huntress lullaby checks. With BBQ, it's amazing on Freddy.

Dragon’s Grip might be insane with Overcharge since if they freak out about the grip they’ll miss the Overcharge skillcheck and cause a big regression (or they’ll stay on the gen for an extra few seconds to hit overcharge and make it easier to expose)

Oh my... that blight Wraith skin in the thumbnail looks so badass without all the orange goop. I've been running dragon's grip with a lot of success on Freddy. Even if they know you have the perk and don't tap gens, that's still in your favor, especially with pop. If they let it regress, they have 27.8 seconds to work on the gen before it gets back to it original position, plus the 30 second period where they can't tap it is 57.8 seconds of that gen just being locked off. It's like Dead Man's Switch but easier to use and with an actually powerful effect.

The kicker build: Shadow dance white and blood to kick generators and pallets faster, brutal strength for the same thing, pop goes the weasel to regress, dragon's grip for the exposed, and trail of torment for the undetectable. You'll kick gens (and pallets) so fast that it's always gonna be worth it to kick gens,. Here's the kicker, survivors are going to have to make the choice of whether to let the highlighted gen regress a ton or risk the exposed. Possibly replace shadow dance white with the serpent soot. This could work on other killers too

Not OP, but a super awful idea for a perk. You know what nobody likes? Hostage 3 gen games that take forever. This perk is pretty much perfectly designed for a forever freddy or hostage doctor build. As another plus, Exposed last the full length even if you go down and get hooked, so you can get unhooked and healed just in time to go down again!

@@strbean1 Thing is, if you're afflicted with exposed after getting unhooked, you'd never heal as it'd be a massive waste. Dragon's Grip also always goes on an 80 second cooldown, meaning unless Survivors are playing super passively (which you shouldn't in a 3 gen situation) the Killer isn't going to have the perk up enough to sustain a 3 gen. Not to mention the fact that it can only apply to one gen at a time and has no effect if all Survivors are injured. Finally, unless the Killer is specifically aiming for and planning a 3 gen the entire match, the Survivors have liberty over which gens get done and can easily prevent hostage scenarios. For example, if all Survivors do gens on one side of the map, then I could see DG being good in the leftover 3 gen. Otherwise, gens will be split and worked on separately. The only thing this perk is good for is punishing Survivors who gen tap in the middle of chase. Tofu tried baiting it multiple times and rarely got it to work like that. It has far too long a cooldown than what's necessary in a 3 gen.

@@oireal7261 A doctor protecting his three gen is already a nightmare. Survivors have no control over what gens get done because the killer will protect the nearest three gen as much as possible. Combine it with doctor and you may as well just alt+f4 for wasted time.

@@ghanemaldhaheri167 Survivors have almost complete control over what gens get done because they're the ones doing gens. They don't have complete control because Killers come in and interrupt them. If a Killer is playing passively and applying little pressure then they aren't going to be able to maintain a 3 gen. You need at least one or two Survivors dead for a solid 3 gen - something a Killer solely aiming for a 3 gen will often fail to get since they aren't applying nearly enough pressure.

while thrilling does help find where to go with pop the down side is when you down someone, kick the gen with pop and dragon grip, then then pick up to go hook the other person. dragon's grip is pretty much completely wasted by thrilling. i kinda wish the cooldown would activate when someone touches the gen, but may that's too powerful.

How would the devs go about making Midwich not suck so much? Finding pallets and gens is a nightmare. It's like the only map where killers and survivors are equally bamboozled on where the gens are and how to get to them. Midwich is pretty survivor sided and requires a basic level of map knowledge to be succesful, just stay in the rooms and know that the only pallets that spawn in the hallways are by basement or that lockery room by the set of stairs

Ik it's patched but the bug didnt just effect DS, it effected all stuns after wiggling off the killers shoulder. This includes pallet saves, flashlight saves and wiggling of naturally.

i think dragons grip needs to be changed. i think it should work similarly to make your choice. give it a 60 second cooldown instead of 80, and if a survivor doesnt get affected by it in the 30 second time, it has no cooldown so it can be used again

I use this perk on my pig and it really does help with early pressure and 3 gens, but it's one of those perks we're you'll get value out if it without knowing because of fully healed survivors not wanting to get exposed and counting out 30 seconds, which gives me 30 seconds to check on other gens.

Freddy is also immune to stuns. I didn't know what the hell was going on but a freddy on one of my survivor games had an e-boney and tunneled me directly off hook, ate my DS and knocked me back down before I could get 10 feet away. In an average 10 minute match your only going to get 5-6 kicks out of dragons grip which as you probably experienced dont always give you value, on the other hand you have perks like make your choice which can trigger 11 times maximum which are basically forced upon the survivors to activate meaning you are more likely to get more value out of it.

Youd think. But the issue with Serpent is that you cant attack immediately after the kick. You technically still go through about the same time as a decloak before you are able to attack. In contrast the speed boost from wind storm has much more value. Personally I'd ask if Shadowdancer would be any help on this build. But it doesnt seem like he needed it

Maybe dragons would work better with discordance than tremors. That way you kick the gen and slap someone and push them off, then the other person can't resist touching the gen so you turn around and get them leaving one person down and the other injured with a regressing gen. Kicking a gen with pop and pushing a single survivor off probably won't get you much dragon value unless you know there's another survivor possibly nearby.

Why does Dragon's Grip go on cooldown if it DOESN'T activate? Like....WHY? It should be "While active a gen breaks activate the Exposed Effect for 60 seconds on touch, this ability to trap a gen has an 80 second cooldown." Multiple gens can be trapped if the survs don't activate the trap so at SOME POINT it'll be activated. And it's not like they can't hide so this isn't OP.

I agree, it's definitely not op. However, it's also not weak per se. It's more around a middle ground between the two. When it works, it cuts chases way short. When it doesn't, it feels like the killer gets punished for having the perk and it not activating.

I'm still not sold on Dragon's Grip. Imo, the cooldown should match the Exposed Duration of 60 seconds and it shouldn't go on cooldown if a Survivor doesn't tap the gen. It feels like it's on cooldown too frequently. Also, I'm not sold on it and Pop. Often times if a gen gets Popped, I'm going to take a mental note that the Killer has that perk and find another gen to immediately work on. Later on I may return but often times it's better to split pressure while the Killer worries about that gen getting done.

I once played on a coal tower with 5 T-L WALLS. 5! Since there weren't many pallets spawned, IT SPAWNED A DOUBLE PALLET. That was the worst coal tower I've played on in my entire life.
