These are all the iconic scenes from the game Dragon's Lair which was released in 1983! Love the art style of this game! Thanks for watching! / skotabig

To the people asking about the glitter and how this looks like Disney, the answer is that the animation was done by the master animator Don Bluth.

@Metzwerg742 ай бұрын
nope it was cutting edge graphics, but the game was actually just a movie, where you had to press an arrow button to decide what happens... there were so many better games out by the time....

@@Metzwerg74 Partially correct. I remember EVERY single kid was blown away by this game. The cabinet itself cost $35,000 in 1983 money. That's like $125,000 for a single arcade cabinet in todays (2024) money. There were other similar games that added genlocking of computer graphics ontop of these "movie games" that made it less of a movie.
@Metzwerg742 ай бұрын
@@johnsmith1953x it was still boring as hell to play.... and super frustrating when the controls did not do what you "told" them to... but you are right, it was less than a movie... and even less than a game...

To this day I’m upset that the planned movie was made live action. Literally the only reason any Don Bluth fan was waiting and excited was because we were at long last going to see his legendary animating skills again after what? 20 years?? Damn I was angry when they said it was live action. So lame.
