Man, this is hard to look back on. There were supposed to be two guys on my couch, but one couldn't get out of work and the other got violently ill the day (night?) of the run. The last-minute route change meant adding a few extra damage boosts which, even with picking up the extra lives, was risky. Almost half my attempts in the practice room prior had a game over in them, which aside from adding a lot more time would revert the weapon to the axe and either make some necessary boosts a hell of a lot harder (i.e. leading enemies to certain spots), or force me to go back for the shuriken again. At least the final time was decent.

This run was great! I wish more runners would have this level of commentary. Not to mention you didn't even have a couch to back you up, nice job!

Great run man, I really enjoyed it. You held it together fine, not easy with nobody on the couch.

Fernando Malomart lol. watch the one of him playing battle clash. he one of those guys that thinks he's the coolest dude on the planet but nobody wants to be mean and tell him he's a total dork. I kinda feel bad for him.
@davidbowser31817 жыл бұрын
Fernando Malomart I mean common, he's wearing fingerless gloves to play SNES.

He had a great run with the Super Scope in the weird controller block so he totally got his minute in the sun

What a shame that he had such a small audience. He was both a good player and a fun person to listen to. For sure a great run!

Danniku Thank you for that info, Danniku :) Runner was a TON of fun. Does he run many other games?
@Danniku7 жыл бұрын
He ran Battle Clash this year as well as Dragon's Lair, and then...Ninjabread Man was his live debut for GDQ, I believe. Not sure what year he did that in.

This is my most-watched speedrun, because it's so validating to watch someone poke fun at what a miserable experience it is to play this game. I didn't stand a chance as a kid without access to online walkthroughs!

This is ridiculous, but I vividly remember this game from my childhood. The worst part is that I never got past the stage after the first boss - so everything beyond that was completely new for me. I can't believe a piece of my childhood was the first three minutes of Dragon's Lair on the SNES.

That's how I felt watching the Rocky and Bullwinkle run. I never got past the mines as a kid so it was surreal and kind of cool.

Darko Hexar I'm right there with you. I didn't even remember the title, I just randomly chose a video and began thinking "what... wait what?!". The sounds and as you mentioned, the first two levels seem to be deeply ingrained into my brain from my very young childhood. I'm not sure I ever made it past the first boss, either.

AVGN beats the games he plays, so I can't call him a very poor game player. Most people find a lot of the games he plays completely impossible.

I remember this game. It was really hard because of the physics and the stage before the bat boss is as far as i can go because of limited life points.
