Dragon Skin Nail using the Bubble Technique

Hi everyone,
Today we’re going to be doing bubbles in a brand new way - to create a dragon egg design.
I’m going to wipe with gel residue wipe off solution and the nail is already prepped, so I’m going to apply the form and then dehydrate and prime the nail, as always. I’m then going to sculpt a short ballerina nail onto Vanessa.
We’re going to do two coats of Serious Black on all of the nails. Then I’m going to do a slither of Stratosphere, apply the magnet and then quickly into the lamp. I’m then going to matte top coat the black section of the nail and mega gloss on the cats eye section apply the bubbly mixture before curing. I’m going to do two nails full black matte, with none of the cats eyes. I’m going to go round the edges of the dragon skin with Foil Glue and I’m going to apply silver foil (I used the metallics but that range is no longer available) and then seal with Top Coat.
I’m going to finish with stones on the matte nails and then cuticle oil.

Oh, my! What a striking design!!! That would draw people in from across the room to see the magic on those nails! I really love the way the cat's eye polishes look with matte top coat. It's like it _glows._ This is different from that look because of the bubbles, but they are gorgeous, too! P.S. Adam, is it my imagination, or was the sound really wonky and weird? I mean, my computer's getting old AF (Vader is five years old now,) and it _could_ be my sound card, but I don't think it's me because other videos sound OK.

Tfs. Ive been wanting to give matte nails a try for a few years now, but I've only had matte nail polish. I really don't like how patchy the matte nail polish looks once it dries. Love these!!! 🥰 Tried a good few times, but can never get the texture right for the dragon skin 😔 when I’ve done bubble nails on a larger area etc they e been fine. So frustrating - the just end up looking like a geode slice!!! It just looks froth rather than dragon skin! Could it be too much or not enough topcoat for the bubbles to be applied to that the problem!! Getting really annoyed - and don’t want it to beat me!!!!

Your hair! Im about to go play around, see if i cant get something like that. And as always, amazing design and explanations. I have never gotten fake nails. I dont even paint them anymore. Heres a great idea for a video, you know how they talk abt best hair cuts to suit your face shape? What about best nail shape for different fingers. Like for example mine are really short and pudgy.... i actually hate my hands which is why i stopped painting them.....

I found an e-file on Amazon for around $50. It works perfectly well if you're just doing your own nails at home. Though I have found it gets hot quickly on hot days (it's summer here in Australia).

Check out the MelodySusie e-file on Amazon. It's affordable and works really good. You won't need to buy more bits for a long time (it comes with all the basics, but there are better/more bits you can get later). I think I got one for around $40 last month.
